@Crimson: Point is if you put someone with good defense against a Pai player that Pai player would struggle. Pai don't do a lot of damage unless you can pull her long juggle off which isn't easy to set up against a player who knows how to defend themselves against pai.

She is best close up opening you up for pokes, and she pretty much is crap at zoning. Most of her good set ups can be held, or better SE out of. Her guaranteed stuff doesn't do much. All her best guaranteed set ups from VF aren't even in the game.

Let's not forget she don't have money good lows. The ones that are decent are easy to see coming like her 66P+K, or her down H+K. And even then they don't give you anything. So really the best way to open your opponent up is frame traps, and hope to set them for a juggle. But don't forget most of her range stuff can be crushed easily.

I'm just going to say Hitomi so she gets buffs. Seriously, don't they have their own internal testing team that should be answering these questions for them?

Well normally the competitive players help determind the tier list so yeah.

But not even the high level players know everything about this game yet. It's too early to have any sort of accuracy with these things.

Which is why I'm hoping they're not trying to nerf/or buff anything right now.

Hayate isnt low. Hes not top but hes solid and deadly. Eliot is a bum though he needs to learn some new techniques from Gen Fu so he can be top tier lol

Because Eliot's ability to learn how to fight is low tier, so he cannot master the top tier moves. He was only able to obtain 9 frame 7P one of the most top tier moves in his arsenal.

Pai can be deadly in the right hands. I wouldn't say she's bottom-tier. While technically Eliot CAN be, I'd still say he's a contender for one of the weakest characters.

Again. Any character is good in the right hand. Saying someone is low tier doesn't mean they don't have a chance against other characters, it's just means they'll have a harder time winning compared to that other character which is why pai is low.

Yeah, but Pai has some great force techs and really fast (seemingly natural) combos that can end in many different levels, leaving you guessing.
Eliot's got jackshit but some power, which's why he belongs at the bottom.

But why? Whyyyyy? Pai hits fast, in various directions, several decent options, many of which do long juggles. The only thing I can say bad about her strike game is it doesn't loop.
