My thoughts exactly. The player makes the player, not the rank. Heck, I could've even stayed F rank and be on the same skill level as where I am now. But most online players are salty losers who can't get over the fact that they get beaten by an F rank and they incorrectly assumed that that F rank is worse than them just because of the rank difference.

Online ego I guess lol.

I only play ranked to play against the most playstyles possible. Other than that, me being a B+ doesn't mean shit. I'm still shit.

Yeah, and I'm an S on tag and an S+ on solo but only bc it stands for SurpriseSymphony, i m not going any higher but that doesn't mean "wow you really play like an S"

More importantly, why do people base your value as a person offline on how well/poorly you do in offline tournaments?

My thing is, if you're a good player, then we shouldn't shame people for their rank. Some people's skill matches their rank, some doesn't. Hell, I'm a C+ rank and probably will never surpass that because my skill in fighting games is average as fuck.

It gets a little annoying that just because I'm Sapphire, they expect more from me, and so if I lose, I'm a "fake". Certain lobbies I may join will automatically kick me out, because of my high rank, which really sucks.
