  • I'm trying to check out Phase-4, but boy is she hard as hell. Can't even pass her lvl 4 juggle from a throw from her combo challenge.

Never try and play her while drunk. Near impossible to even get a tele-cancel off in an actual match. >.>

@Gurimmjaw so that means you executions when teleporting are on point then? @Jyakotu I'll keep that in mind lol.

Yeah so it not a problem for me though I dont really care for using Phase 4.
Is anyone other than me once again having trouble logging in on psn, or have gotten suddenly kicked off?
    I just found out Momiji's PPP4P causes a sit-down stun at critical threshold lv3

If you have, I apologize for not noticing it. ^^" I know I suddenly got rusty playing Momiji. Don't know how though. Btw, somehow I suddenly got kicked off psn. Did the same happen to you?
What are your thoughts if TN were to create a puppet type character for DOA?

It would be definitely a news for DoA, but personally I would be curious to know the outcome: it could end to be pretty interesting =)
To all psn users, do you use PlayStation Now?

For the lack of a better expression, HELL FUCKING NO!! Also now that I have to pay for PSN its shit now.
For a limited time, Hitomi and Jan Lee are free to play on core fighters. The character trial run resets again.
I've gotten so used to moves that do jumps, frontflips(9P), and backflips(7P/7K) that I can only play characters that only can do that...

I know all of Momiji's inputs like the back of my hand. When it comes to other characters, I always assume that 66P is the critical burst.

Keep in mind that some characters have QCF+K as their CB. It's quite hard to master a lot of characters
I'm trying to copy my DOA5U saved data from one account to the other, but when I start up the game on another account w/ saved data, errors.

If you have a usb drive, you can move the file onto it and use a modding tool like Horizon to change the save ID to work with your new account

Naw, I'm not into modding my console. Thanks fits the suggestion though.

Nothing to do with modding your console and only takes a minute to do plus you could watch a tutorial, but okay then. Just hate to see someone lose something when it can be fixed
I haven't seen much use of people playing Bass. He's a temp unlock on CF so I'll check him out. Plus, I haven't tried out grapplers.

Bass is underrated and really good in 5U. You'll have fun with him! He's really easy to use.

Just keep the block held down after the 66KK, and while Momiji is still airborn, you have to tap down while still holding block. In time, you'll notice that you can defend all three follow ups by using one defensive tactic.
Doing a fuzzy guard after 66KK completely defends against all three options. With all three mixups recorded, play it back and block the 66KK. This is where you practice your timing for a fuzzy. If done right, you will duck the throw, but still be able to block the kick or punch. If any of those three options connect on you, it just means your timing is off. When done correctly, you WILL defend all three options.
A great way to learn the timing of a fuzzy guard is to go to the dojo and pick Momiji as the opponent. Record all three variants in a row of her 66KK, which end with a throw, a hich kick, or a mid punch. Since the 66KK is a guard break, it can be a nightmare to deal with the following mixup since you're essentially forced to guess what the opponent will do.
This is why you can duck throws and still block high/mid strikes all at the same time. The game registers a full crouch after the startup frames in the crouching animation. Thus, your character can still be in a relative standing position and still duck a throw attempt. And since you're releasing the crouch after the startup frames, the game then registers you as doing a standing block.
There's multiple scenarios for fuzzies. The only difficulty in using it is to get the timing correct, and there's two ways to do it. The "quickest" method is using 33 then blocking. The simplest method is to be holding block and tap 2. The principle behind a fuzzy only requires the startup frames of a crouch to register, not the actual act of crouching.
I never realized Fuzzy Guarding was so hard to do...utilizing it, timing it, no wonder it's such an advanced skill to learn.

It can be a hassle yes, but the more you do it, it becomes second nature while you play DOA trust me.
