From EVO's point of view, maybe DOA is too much for the acquisition of new sponsors? That's the only reason I see for them keeping this game out of the tournament. To that I say ban DLC costumes, turn boobs off. Done deal.

If it goes deeper than that, then they can keep their tournament.

Seriously. Ban the damn DLC crap. Ban swimsuits etc. from being used on Tournaments. Or how bout stick to default costumes for EVO. If the sex appeal is making it an issue we can easily fix it lol. Those guys at Evo... sometimes...

People who still use DOA's sex appeal as a reason to not want to give the game a fair chance are just ignorant. Then they complain about how holds are OP and ninjas rule tournaments. They clearly know nothing about the community.

I think the main reason is the fact that its a 3D game. Last year Namco had to buy a spot for Tekken, and this year if T7 wasn't coming out, i'd think Tekken wouldn't have made the cut either.

That is an element that people do overlook, that a big reason why DOA isn't as popular as it should actually can be attributed to it being a 3D fighter, and 3D fighters in general aren't as popular as they should be.

Did you just have a revelation their Bloodburg or did it take you that long to realize that about DOA. @SpellBound Even though tekken is not doing good in the USA, every where but the US thinks differently. Well any country with a strong arcade scene. Also big reason would be thanks to Markman (a big rep at madcatz) who also happens to rep tekken more than other games.
