Why is Christie top tier? It's all about tools, or, what the character has going for them. In Eliot's particular case, he struggles winning against almost the entire cast. Put simply, Eliot is out-matched by almost everyone because of his piss poor neutral game, non-mid punch spacing tools, predictable strings, shit, he doesn't get more than +15 on his best SDS, and that's not enough to guarantee anything.
I don't understand why I'm tagged. But, I don't see anything about Eliot that makes him a terrible character. A character with a reset throw for +10 is a not a terrible character. What I see is not many (or hardly) anyone in the U.S playing him as effectively as they can.
Well, except for a tiny few Eliot players, but that's about it. Some characters really only have one or two players that really make a character shine.
My main problem is that it's a bit unfair how you can master 46P during string, and still have a disadvantage GB if your opponent blocks everything. Why should you be at disadvantage after doing a move that's hard to master, such as that? How do you keep pressure going if you're -3. They should buff his GBs and speed just a bit, at the very least. But TN is probably figuring out how to make Christie and Gen Fu better.
Sorry hajin i tagged you cause your an extremely prefessional player that knows MU and character tools and knowledge and such, i tagged colonel because hes a great eliot player and knows a lot about him, i tagged brute for the same reasons i tagged ihajin
Ah, no it's perfectly Edo, lol. Colonel some guard breaks are negative for a reason. Also Eliot's PP46P and 46P are actually really good for neutral space control and keepout. If you want pressure, you can just as easily use 66P+K for that.
I can understand that, but 66P+K is slower than old people getting it on. I think 46P needs to be positive, to be honest. I know his positive GBs, but think about how much better he'd be with that being positive. (Not to mention, you know, SOME tracking.)
Eliot does not need a lot of tracking when he has a lot of strings with very good delay. 46P is i21 and 66P+K is i25 respectively. Both have good range, with 66P+K having massive range and it's very good on block.
Sorry brute i untagged you if that's what you wanted :/ and please don't tell me eliot has to suffer the same fate as kokoro when it comes to tracking Lol
