Sorry if my explanation seems somewhat vague. Maybe someone else can explain it better (perhaps even with an example)?

@Kasumilover98 - I suppose what you are describing is a forced tech. Those are also really useful to know. Unholdables are specifically used against people who like to tech roll, forced tech are used against people who don't like to tech roll. xD

@KING JAIMY I think I know where you're getting at now. Thank you for the explanation! I'll go into training later and try these out:-)

You can find unholdables turning Recovery on in COM settings and setting COM reaction to hold (the type of hold depends on the hit level of the strike you are testing). This way the CPU will always tech up after he gets knocked down and holds as soon as possible.

If they are able to catch your strike with a hold, then the move you have attempted is too slow. If the move misses before the CPU does a hold, then your move is too fast. The key is therefore to find a move that is not too quick and not too fast. If your strike hits and the CPU cannot hold, then you've found an unholdable. Good luck! :)

That's great! Rikuto opened my eyes to practical unholdables. If the unholdable is giving up damage for the chance of more damage or it leaves you with your pants down if they do block, then they aren't worth it. Food for thought.

31? When I think about that other characters only have like 1, 2 or 3, I somehow doubt this.

@Sly Bass - I admit that some of the unholdables I found aren't that useful. However, all of the unholdables I've found are from holds, throws and wall juggles so there shouldn't be much to lose damage-wise.

@ToKyo PewPew - I spent more than 4 hours in the lab searching for unholdables. Jacky has many unholdables, but some unholdables are the same strike initiated from a different throw or hold.

I highly doubt there's character with just 3 unholdables.

Can you list Phase 4's, Pictured?

No, because I don't play the character. Also not saying all unholdables Jaimy found are good, because there's no way in hell a characters has that much useful unholdables, haha.

For my characters I definitely found more than 3, but only half of them are useful.

Different juggles that you normally wouldn't use can help you a lot in finding them.

And I dunno if anyone else here on this forum know some more but the only unholdable I heared off for Kasumi is 4H+K.
KING JAIMY

Yeah of all those unholdables only about 10 of them are really practical. It's not hard to find them once you start experimenting with different juggles. I'm sure I could come up with at least 5 unholdables for Kasumi in one day. She has a large amount of moves so it shouldn't be too hard to find them.

Yeah maybe. I spent some hours searching for Phase 4's back at the time where I played her, but I only found one.

However, I'm actually not the guy who prefers sitting in the lab for days to search tech so others like you might have more success with that.

I tested out most of those you listed for Jacky and since most of them seem to work, I'm pretty sure you could surprise me again.

Fair enough. Sitting in the lab can be quite boring I have to admit, but it will pay off in the long term I suppose. For Phase 4 I can imagine she doesn't have many unholdables because her moveset is too limited.
