At least with Raidou, people attempt to go for electrics and his throws are simply astounding. Do you know how many times I have seen Momiji go for a 6PK concept even on a dangerzone? It's unknown if it's a habit or the character. Gen Fu requires an unsleeping pill.

Personality-wise. I like Momiji way better in NG. She was not exactly the apologetic type and has a bit more serious tone to the character. DOA threw that out the window.

Don't forget Honoka.

People use Momiji's 6PK combos because they are the most damaging ones. A lot of characters end up with pretty much the same juggles and combo finishers if they focus solely on max damage.

I do get your point though. It gets boring to see the same stuff over and over again of those characters. Not to mention that those combos are easy to perform in my opinion, which kind of takes away the satisfaction factor.

I agree that Momiji from NG is better. Not only personality wise, but also her appearance and voice.

For generic portions, you can add Hayate. I'm at a stalemate between Gen Fu and Hayate on which one truly puts you to sleep.

Am I the only raidou player that doesn't go for his electric punch all the time ? I look for combo's without his electric punch just to be more original. Anyways enough about me, jaimy is right, most people focus on max damage instead of being creative. That's just a fact

His EWG combos are about as unoriginal as his EWG combos. PP6PK for days.

I barely end with PP6PK, I just end differently. Why max damage if you can be original ?

Because originality still looks boring.
At least as far as Raidou is concerned.

Besides, it's more in relation to oki than damage.

I use ppk as an ender or K K if the opponent is high enough

The electrics are more of maximizing damage. Raidou can get 104 on a midweight on a level 2 stun threshold unstaggerable with electrics at the end into a backflip and it's not even near a wall. Like that's really good.
