Well yes..... MKX's buffer system is litterally the only way to play the game since none of the combos can be done in real time.

It does for some things.... like Sprinting. You can buffer that in the middle of doing something else.

Beyond that I don't know what else I only played it for like 3 hours.

I have experienced absolutely nothing wrong with buffering things in MKX and doing combos there.

I'll have to repeat the inquiry -- do you have negative edge still enabled? Because that ruins everything. Turn that off asap if you have not already. Made that game 90% more playable for me.

Yep its definitely called Release Check. The Real Question is..... why hasn't this been fixed yet ? I thought they fixed it ages ago seeing how big of a problem it is.

Luckily, I was informed about that hurdle.

My current annoyance is actually in relation to the quarter-circle specials, which seem damn near impossible to circumvent if you wish to retaliate with a forward/backward normal after crouch guarding a light negative.

What exactly do you mean? You are trying to move after guarding a string that leaves the opponent negative but can't? If thats the case, then its probably the block stun thats messing you up.

Im not sure if its referred to as a block stun, but MKX has this thing where you have to wait like an extra frame before you can punish even if the opponents move left them negative. Idk if they ever fixed that in MKXL.

No. Imagine you are doing a standing guard to block a "Kombo" (string) that begins with highs/mids/overheads, but ends with a low. You quickly hit Down+Guard to block the low, and now are only at +4 with the opponent in a ducking state. You wish to punish with your fastest mid that leads into a combo, such as Back+Light Punch or Forward+Light Punch.

But, since you just hit down to crouch guard, Forward+Light Punch now reads as Down-Forward+Light Punch, causing you to use a V>1 Special instead of your regular >1 normal.
