he walked up to me, put his hand on my shoulder and said "HEY!" and then proceeded to say nigger 30 times in a row. after that I tried to confront him about it but he just started running away from me for like 20 mins. eventually the manager came out and sat us both down so we could talk and apparently my co workers excuse was

"I wasn't serious about it, i was just joking, you know you can't take me seriously" and im just there looking at him like "what...". but because i was "chasing" him around the workplace and i was yelling profanities at him (which counts as verbal assault apparently), I was the one who had to apologize first.

He eventually (and by eventually i mean probably and hour later) said sorry, but the whole situation is just fucked up

I'm sorry, that guy just sucks.It was his fault to begin with, he aggravated you into saying those things. Is this guy even really on good terms with you, like beforehand?

it's not like he's some random, i've known the guy for almost a year. but im well aware of his off kilter sense of humor i.e every joke he tells is either ridiculously sexist or ridiculously racist, and some times they're funny but alot times they're just hurtful and mean, and i just shake my head in disappointment

Either they need to write his ass up or fire him. Like... to force you to apologize to that fucker? That's foul.

I don't blame you for getting mad that shouldn't be said in the work place. I remember one substitute teacher called me nappy headed, my mom was so pissed she almost got the lady fired

on one hand, I want him fired just to make an example out of him, on the other hand, after this altercation he's become somewhat of a leper in workplace; no one wants to deal with this guy in anyway, shape, or form, and it is gloriously awkward and in a way, more satisfying than just getting rid of him

Please keep me posted, I genuinely want to see what will happen to this guy. And yeah Nappy headed isn't really common anymore, she just said it I guess because I have a lot hair, but not at all nappy, I keep it washed and combed XD
