    After that TGS showing last night, I'm thoroughly convinced Secret of Mana Remake is a solid remake.

    Glad to hear it! I seldom preorder games but I just had to with Secret of Mana, as a show of support. Same with DOAX3 last year.

    It's amazing so far. The additional animations make enemy attacks easier to judge while still feeling as they were in the SNES version, albeit without its gamebreaking glitches. I also believe online multiplayer could be implemented somehow.

    What DB said, basically. Those dream match interactions and matchups were what made those games so popular. Seeing your favorite characters interact with each other and fight alongside one another, if you were part of the '90s arcade scene, that's what we lived for.

    From the Cyclops/Ryu handshake in Xmen Vs. Street Fighter. To Terry Bogard throwing his hat, Ken Masters then picking it up and giving it back to him. To Ghost Rider roasting (no pun intended) the shit out of a majority of the cast in UMvC3. That's what the appeal was for a majority of people.

    Can't help but believe the devs rushed Ultimecia out the gate in Dissidia JUST to avoid being too predictable in their character reveals.

    Probably. I mean, I told you she wouldn't be one of the last characters. She was pretty expected.

    The game won't release till January so they'll make changes for finalized gameplay.

    Rushed? I don't think so. At this point there is still a large pool to guess from and we know we will get Noctis by the end of the year.

    I didn't expect Jecht to be revealed so soon, looking at him I think he felt more rushed. I completely expected him to be in season 2. Next character I would guess would be either Golbez or Cloud of Darkness. Wouldn't be surprised at either.

    With the possibility of both DOA and VF having sequels announced at TGS, I must wonder... what if they end up announcing DOA x VF instead?

    ^She's easier to play than she was in 012, but the beta didn't come with her most useful unlockable HP attack from a wall rush. How solid she is really depends on your team management. The more balanced it is, the easier it is to find openings to take out a single opponent.

    I don't have any concerns other than the release date. The game sounds beautiful and looks beautiful. Those were my only worries. I've never played a beta with so many character options... and with no party mode the strategy creation is useless.

    Sometimes I prefer getting music requests from the opponents themselves... otherwise I end up spending days digging for that "right" music in this seemingly endless library of BGMs to choose from.

    Black Manta is probably the first non-female character reveal I'm actually hyped for in Injustice 2. It was better than I expected.
