[Dec 17, 2012] TTT: Final Impact (Toronto, Ontario)

Yay, my last exam is on the 13th. I think I can attend this. Is TTT no longer holding tournaments for any anime fighters by the way? I noticed that this and Redemption didn't have any. Edit: Just noticed GG there. Wish I had any time to practice that at all.

    Is guessing a skill?

Well, I predicted you were going to post this two weeks ago, and I don't even know who you are.

    D.I.D. 8: Aftermath

Many online DOA4 players had 40,000+ by 2007.

    D.I.D. 8: Aftermath

If it was a mistake in DOA4, it was a good mistake. I think it should definitely be an option, since they were already going down that route with several things that gave advantage already.

    D.I.D. 8: Aftermath

I'd say more characters should get viable force techs instead (or people should find them in the lab, since they probably already exist). Although I haven't seen uncounterables in this game yet, maybe they "fixed" that? I would actually like to see it back in if so. Lets make getting hit be that...

Ah, try for next time I guess. I'd like to play you some time.

    D.I.D. 8: Aftermath

A bunch of characters have the same type of force tech game too. Get to the lab guys. This is definitely a part of the metagame, accept and embrace it.

    D.I.D. 8: Aftermath

That's like saying 2D players are too reliant on wakeup DPs/supers/ultras that have a ton of invincibility. Real oki prevents those in other games (see: Yu in P4A), force techs are a very similar idea, imo. People that can't get out stay defensive and the momentum doesn't actually go back to...

If you want to believe that, that's fine. But the truth is, you have to show up to win! Show up and have some fun next time. It'll be worth it.

    D.I.D. 8: Aftermath

Loss of the wakeup kick results in a better up close game, without having to stop momentum. That is actually pretty big. That's one of the reasons DOA4 Hayabusa was so good, remember?

Good games to everyone at Redemption, and props to AngryWorm for beating me and getting 1st. I'll try to focus on figuring out/defending against Hitomi's mixup options for next time. If I can find more time to play the game that is. I'm probably going to ask soon and see if we can transfer the...

How long per day do you play DOA5?

Most days, 0. I have no time.

You really need experience and connections more than ever now. Employers see your piece of paper as the bare minimum.

DOA5U Why do you main Ayane?

    Purple hair and spinning

    What's your Win Ratio?

~93%, most of those losses were from psn dc'ing me. Dont really feel like playing online anymore. The netcode is bad and nobody knows punishment exists.

"3-7 is the new 5-5" Helena match up thread.

The thing is, if 3F+K whiffs, nothing happens. If 66K whiffs, you're kind of screwed. 3F+K also has a better hitbox and is also a mid kick. And it's 0 instead of +1 on block, not a big difference there. If 66K gets hit on on counter, it's HCH. 3F+K is not as easy to crush as 66K. 3F+K is a...

I see no reason why I wouldn't be there (both today and Sunday). Edit: Heading over now, should be there between 8 and 8:30. Hopefully people are still there.

This is exactly the reason I'm not going to NEC. Way too close to finals. Finishing school is my top priority right now.

Play any other fighter. Pick any one. Please. DOA is the only fighter that allows you to counter out of hitstun.
