Wanted Dead is actually fun as a silly 3rd person shooter/hack n' slash hybrid, but yeah it is pretty cool that a game like that is getting updates. Its budget shows in every aspect of the game haha. As much as I loved the OG NG/DOA team, I really don't think they transitioned within generation...

Play DOA5LR. He's still fun there.

Tekken 8's BP is embarrassingly bad compared to Fortnite or Overwatch 2. Namco is just doing "me 2" with it. I'll definitely will still play T8 with my offline scene (or if anyone I know online would want to play), but I won't be buying any DLC for it and won't really actively support it that much.

If the price could get down to around $40-45-ish CAD (don't buy digital games full price) I would be willing to give Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising a shot since I heard that the game's battle pass is decent compared to SF6 or T8.

If you like all the DLC within a season pass, then sure, give it a shot.

Great post DB, this resonates with my thoughts and experiences with DOA5 & DOA6. Can't convert someone from their main game to DOA, unless they really don't like their current installment/game direction. For e.g.: Some SF players opted to play Tekken 7 over SFV back in 2017-ish.

I'm interested to see whoever said that they didn't play DOA5/DOA6 because of the DLC practices, but play T8 for instance which is a lot more obnoxious with its micro-transactions.

Honestly the majority of fighting game DLC schemes are gross, but I'll take whatever DOA5 & DOA6 did over SF6's & Tekken 8's disgusting DLC practices.

The lag makes it feel more like a soulslike action RPG than a DMC-Bayonetta-esque hack n' slash. Really hope the developers can fix/patch it around launch or soon.

Yeah Tekken Revolutions' monetisation was awful; during a time when companies were experimenting with "F2P". It was basically a glorified limited play demo where you paid for each additional play. Felt like a mobile game.
