No fighting game is really easy to win at past a certain level. It's easy to win at a low level in GG Strive, but good luck winning consistently against anyone past Floor 9. Basically any modern FG in the past 4 or 5 years is essentially "easy to learn, hard to master" with very few exceptions...

DOA6 got a lot more support from the developers for the first year actually, remember the 10,000,000 Yen World Tour? "Veterans" dropping off wouldn't really affect casuals from trying a F2P game that much unless there were big name streamers actively shitting on the game.

Oh, a DOA6 with GGPO rollback wouldn't do anywhere close to Tekken 7 numbers or anything, but a technically F2P game with solid netcode would have a fairly continuous stream of players. DOA6's gameplay is also nowhere near as oppressive as, say, GG Strive's.

Eh, I would prefer full customisation TBH. Doesn't have to be Tekken's stupidness (or even come close to touching SoulCalibur's Create-A-Soul), but just allow all outfits & accessories to be fully customisable.
