I think the OP wants things like sidesteps or dodges. The problem with this is that there's no risk in a game based on space control. These options don't move you into a position where you risk getting hit by another move depending on the match up.

What character do you use. How you play greatly varies depending on who you're using.

I can play the digital version of Last Round online on PS4 without PS+, so I don't know what the fuck @CyberEvil is talking about.

Digital version does not need PS+ to play. Not sure about the disc version though.

Actually, it works in DOA because of the counter system. Since at higher levels, people are expecting you to go for mixups, not doing a mixup can work against them.
