Depends, a lot of times I'll try to actually block them, if you block the mid you can pressure your advantage, if you block the low you get a free low throw.
In pretty much every fighting game besides doa, most attacks are + on hit aside from lows. The exceptions are moves with special properties like Akiras guard breaks and such, or Mitsurugis 2kb.
Okay I'm back, I personally found these two casual packs to be the most original and well designed out all the dlc outfits, aside from the first free pack way back when. Some of the outfits, like Baymans, are just awesome. I wish all of the dlc was as high a quality as this.
He actually has quite a selection of ninja gaiden outfits they could chose from. For example his THROWBACK OUTFIT.
Well there's blue fiend ryu from ng1, Red muffler, Future ninja, Shadow Walker, Biometal, warriors orochi, and ng2 fiend, so yeah.
Also in 3d fighters, take a look at soulcalibur, if you get knocked down in that you gotta deal with low/mid mixups cause you can actually get hit when you're on the ground, that game doesn't have wakeup kicks either. Then there's tekken, where if you roll backwards you can actually get picked...
Wakeup kicks should be like they are in vf, just a way to get an attacker off of you.
They can't start combos, and are relatively easy to punish if you predict the right one.
I seriously doubt they will stop developing dlc costumes unless they see they aren't getting a profit from them, heck in the end I expect characters like kasumi will have at least 40 costumes overall.
Nereus brought this up in the past, but I think trying to beat out wakeup kicks with certain attacks is something that should be tested, or is the timing too tight?
I mean, regarding the wakeup game, is it really any worse than it was back in the 2u/3 days?
