I'd buy the game to support TN but I wouldn't buy a PS4 to play it on. Prefer my Xbox One. As improved as the DS4 is I still hate the Sony dpad design.

If you play offline you should be fine even with the patch. There is an open thread where you can discuss this on the front page still, though.

Not sure who you're speaking to specifically, @Nameless Sama but for my piece I'll be playing co-op with as many people as I can if it's available, similar to what I did on Ninja Gaiden 3/Razor's Edge and Sigma 2 back in the day. It's unfortunate that the games always have fragmented communities...

My favorite part of NG3/RE actually is the entirety of that chapter. The Hayabusa Village, the fight to the ninja graveyard, Momiji tagging along, all of it. The boss was a bit of a let-down at the end but it was far from the worst.
