    modern games are made for the inmmediate consume with minimal replay value so they can generate cash and then throw it to sell a sequel. You can't even say that you're buying a full game as it is even more common paying for the game and "day 1" dlcs.

    to being honest i have never beign a fan or supporter of the fighting game community and the competitive scenes, so, that's not an issue for me. I like DOA4 as it is; a fun, action-packed, fast-paced, accesible fighting game.
