My hope for the reason they didn't include the DOA girls was because they actually care about character/story integrity, some of which they said was the case in interviews, but I got more of the impression from interviews that they wanted to push their original VV girls harder using this game...

Well some people are saying that apparently it was understocked, so there's that. But yeah I am curious to hear from KT why the game didn't release in the west, rather than just stick to speculation, especially since this is the most "tame" game by DOAX standards at least.
