That didn't used to be enough. There was still a lingering seam from the surface material differences on the console. It's more subtle, but still a seam unless something changed with PC. Also, changing the texture won't fix the gap in the neck if someone uses a different body style.

    Texture Editing (PC)

I'm not sure about a modern method for PC, but former methods involved either A) manually adjusting the mesh so that the neck matches the head of the target character and re-injecting it or B ) Adjusting the bone offsets so that the skeleton matches the target character. I have not seen...

Are you talking about the color variation in the texture, or the actual neck size when using a costume of a different body size?

Yay, my comp is in, and DOA was first on the priority list to test, XD I can run at last 1920 x 1080 with at least 2x AA without any chugging. That was without Shadows though, so I'll have to mess with the config more. What's recommended for testing FPS? I don't spend much time on this...

Good stuff, Kronin. It's mind boggling how some of those utils have been so user friendly. :) I'm not sure what the tolerance here is for tool sharing since some of it involves rewriting DLC packages, etc. Perhaps, @Mr. Wah could clarify if there's any guidelines. If everything is fair game...

If there's a link in the other thread, I'll post it. Did I miss it somehow? I tend not to go on a wild goose chase, if people don't put stuff in plain sight. ;)

Ummm, not sure what tools are being referenced, I've added everything in the other thread.

With some patience, we'll eventually get the Ninja Gaiden working in the game, hopefully. It's going to take rebuilding the file into PC format. It worked on console, so it'll just take some time to get the actual one working. I think DOA Muramasa is different than NG3 Muramasa. Did you...

I noticed that when I looked it up. 3dsmax used to be owned by discreet, I thought. I wasn't very active with 3D stuff, so I was oblivious to that transition whenever it occurred.

Nice, I didn't realize there had been some corporate merge along the way. I just new that some people had an affinity for one application over the other.

It may not be a bad idea to have a separate thread for the type/ style of modding. This thread is already 50 pages of texture based stuff. Mesh modding or swapping, or likely the two other leading types, unless it was Character mods / Stage mods / Audio mods, etc. Not that I'm aware of, and...

    Texture Editing (PC)

There's a lot of technical dribble over there. It started probably with Vanilla and a fair amount has changed since then, BUT that is the most consolidated spot, to my knowledge. If it helps I could probably answer a lot of questions here, that you might have for that site if you have trouble...

Swapping costumes is a really basic trick and doable. In this case it looks terrible because they're switching costumes for a characters that don't have the same body dimensions, and the neck will look bad.

Soapbox: Community Activism and the DOA Narrative

Guys, this really needs to stop. This nonsense is what the whole original post is about. I'm not taking sides, both parties need to stop. Both sides feel slighted and won't drop the issue. Do you care more about DOA and benefiting the community or just about having the last word in a...

Your earlier mention of this was why I thought I might attempt a laptop for now. I did find an i7/ GTX 850M with an overkill amount of RAM on sale through HP. I also saw a vid on youtube showing it running sufficiently with the 850M, so now I just have to wait for it to get here, so I can...

Soapbox: Community Activism and the DOA Narrative

Fantastic write-up!! How do I give this extra likes. Without rehashing much, I highly agree with most / if not everything in the post. The community needs to expel the vitriol and in-fighting. If someone has to put others or other franchises down to prop themselves up, there's clearly an...

@Tina2040_ @Alekun For any mods missing them, could you please make sure to include which Costume is affected as mention if it affects Face, and /or Hairstyle A/B/C, etc? Thanks, it'll help keep the front page orderly when there's a ton of mods in here/there. *** Started a list for stages...
