They are not that similar, but you can't deny they belong to certain popular archetypes. E.g : the cute Chinese girl in love with senpai (Lei Fang/Xiayou), the haughty 'French' blonde fighting in her father's shadows (Helena/Lili), the exotic black 'dancer' with some capoeira (Christie, Lisa)...- KwonJigglypuff
