Technically, aside from the Super update back in 2010, all the game has gotten is revision patches and DLC. Only reason you can get AE on disc is so that new folks don't have to double dip and buy SSFIV and then the AE DLC.

Buffed neutral game. VF style sidesteps were a good addition, but more movement and approach options would really help the game alot.

Technically, most tournaments were played on cabs, the solution for which was to open up the cab and flick the coin switch for over an hour until everyone was unlocked. Off course, we eventually just resorted to hacked ROMs that had everyone unlocked (and had custom colors and soundtrack as well).

But don't strikes in DOA totally negate throw attempts regardless of frame data (unlike in other games where a fast enough through can beat a slow strike)? If throws are going to be universally breakable then this needs to be changed.

Personally fine with unbreakable command throws. But then again, I come from a 2D background where those are the norm.

More cliffhangers? Not really, the QTE-like nature of them doesn't really add anything to the game other than fluff. That said, I'd love to see a return of Demon's Church from DOA2. Also, Aerial Gardens and Great Opera. Maybe Pancration since it has that VF final stage feel.

IMO, what needs to happen is more nerfs to holds in exchange for more movement options. Working sidesteps are a step in the right direction (no pun intended), the next thing that needs to happen is more options like these. IMO, TN needs to look at AM2's playbook some more.
