She seems like one of those characters you'd pick to get a rise out of the crowd, a bit gimmicky and flair based. But not a long term tourney character.

This is completely untrue, and Hayate is the perfect example. His 2 (or 8)P+K sidestep attack is far and away better than his regular sidestep + either of his SS attacks and that is after it was heavily nerfed from it's status in the alpha build.

Not saying that's what I prefer, but it's the more realistic outcome. Believe me if the subject of Leon and Ein being added in DOA5 came up to Team Ninja I'd be first on the bandwagon. Again, my preference yes, but this is the more realistic outcome.

If he's not getting into the game, this would be the perfect throwback. It's not as if Ein couldn't just get a different outfit as his C1 if he made it into the game regardless.

Surprised at all the votes approving an Alpha ban. I really hope the majority if not all of those people simply want to ban her because of the absurd unlocking conditions. In which case, a simple unlocking patch for tourney play would easily fix that problem.

That's true, but it's not a bad idea to ask to remove something that wasn't supposed to be there in the first place. Being inescapable online is just the icing on the cake.
