I think everyone who debut at DOA3 seemed to be interconnected even if it isn't imaginable seeing them have tag throws with characters they don't relate with. (Hayate with Christie, Hayate with Brad, Christie with Brad, Christie with Hitomi).

By unique tag summon only, do you mean like one specific tag throw transition only works for a pair? If so, then Jann Lee and Ryu have tag summons to Leon (JL to Leon and Ryu to Leon) while Tina, Bass, Bayman, Zack and Gen Fu have specific tag throws with him. All I mentioned above also applies...

It doesn't seem fair that they took out something that has been an existing part of their gameplay. I imagine pressing 44T would tag in the 1st partner while 66T would tag in the 2nd partner.
