I thought the same, but strangely I'm unable to play chapter challenges in easy/hero mode also if I beaten both the story mode levels with that difficulty...

I wanted ask if the levels of difficulty in chapter challenge are unlocked beating the same levels at the same difficulties in the story mode... Because I beaten both story mode levels at "Hero" and "Normal" difficulty, but currently I can play the chapter challenges just at Normal difficulty...

If you are talking about the extra features like the improved training mode or the customization soundtrack, sadly I think like you that these will remain an exclusive of the PSVita version.

Actually it's an understandable mistake: in Japanese both "L" and "R" are pronounced as one phoneme; just for this it's really hard (for Japanese people) recognize the distinction between them like used in foreign languages, because in Japanese language the difference is not existent.
