As I said... it happens when trying to perform a reversal....
If I use quick recovery or crouch block then I'm hitting down on purpose.
I notice if I try hard enough I can end my Shoryuken attempt with 3 instead of 6 and seems to stop it from CA in most cases.... unfortunately the negative...
LMAO... and check this out too... The Negative Is causing Me to cancel Shoryuken into Critcal Art even though I only press the Punch button once. LMAO !!!
I mean to me its funny but I bet to serious players its very annoying.
I've actually had this Happen with Cammy too... but its rarer with her because even if she has the Fireball motion... she doesn't have an actual Fireball so its less likely encountering these poorly design input issues.
LoL... Nope... I test it out...The 3 Directional Input is not at all necessary for performing the first half of the Critical Art... atleast not for Ryu.
Ergo if you perform a quick recovery (by pressing 2) then perform a textbook DP using the proper motion then you'l get a Critical Art.
Atleast that's the case with Ryu since his Fireball, Dragon Punch & Critical Art all Overlap with eachother.
Ken Fairs a bit better but he also has god awful Hit Confirms so I aint playin him.
The good news is that Rapist Bastard is not exactly the type of character people will like so that kind of stops it from being an issue.
Now Imagine if Raidou was.... I don't know.... like Nathan Drake or whoever. That would be messed up.
However there is a something thats been over looked in that argument and its something rather large.
Are Convoluted motions the only real way of balancing out these moves.
Well obviously not. Infact I don't even think its the easiest method for a developer to do.
This is true... James Chen wrote a very insightful article on SRK describing just that. http://shoryuken.com/2012/07/16/lost-strategy-series-the-role-of-execution-by-james-chen/
This is the one and only argument that doesn't sound like trolling newbies just for kicks.
Also Phase 4 is not alone in that High Damage Category and the other characters that can do big damage don't require spending 500 hours banging your head against the wall in training mode. So your argument was kinda flawed before you even typed it out.
Anyway... leave if you want.... if you've...
LoL... if the developers don't Phase 4 to be so damaging then they would have just nerfed her damage...
A) Thats a simpler way of accomplishing that. And it eliminates any variables
B) it keeps the character intuitive and accessible.
Also there the issue that pro players are enjoying these games at the expense and suffering of new players.... or people who just bought the game out of curiosity.
