@Force_of_Nature
If its just one character then I really don't mind that much.
But in other games its kinda of. I don't even know how to explain it.
You forkover money for a fighting game under the assumption that you are paying for the privelage to pick which ever character you like.
Now...
@Force_of_Nature
I agree... its still prettt hard though... although not as hard as Hayabusa's WR4K.
Anyway this was back during my thumb stick days before I learned how to play on D-Pad. The input detection on Hayate's 66P+K & 44K seemed strangely Tighter than everyone elses for some reason.
My question is and always has been: "HOW ?"
LoL... and thats when they go all quiet... or they switch the topic and attack my skill as a player.
Because thats easier than coming to the realisation that maybe maybe... just maybe... this whole thing is stupid.
If I don't know what I'm talking about then by all means... Educate me. I have no issue being wrong but I'm not going to change my tune because everybody keeps spewing out the same line and never explaining it in detail.
Here are the popular ones.
"It adds more Depth."
"It makes it more...
@King Anubis
Tier List arguments aside (Nobody can agree on those Anyway).
Also despite how easy her Teleports are for me to do now when I first started they were difficult. And in the end nothing special came out of that grind.
LoL... Well yeah by Street Fighter's Standard they are downright Childsplay but if you were to average out the Execution Rating of the rest of the Cast then Phase 4, Hayate & Raidou are in the "Difficult Percentile" range.
It makes a game like Killer Instinct Interesting because their Roster...
@Bacaww
She can't continue to do the same thing over and over... eventually the opponent will adapt and she'l have to whip out something very Unsafe just for the sake of variety.
I get the sense you simply aren't reading my posts because I distinctly said I don't struggle performing Phase 4's...
@Bacaww
LoL.... Yes shes the weakest character in the game based on the Japanese Tier List (which I think is outdated now)
Also as I stated earlier... the tools she does have to open people are limited.... so even if she does have safe setups they are also predictable... 66K & 66PP are good...
The risk with Phase 4 is not that "you might drop her Teleports"
the risk is her limited options to open up opponents leaves her open to punishment.
If anything making the right read with Phase 4 is more difficult than any of her Teleports....
There is no free damage for her... she has to...
@Bacaww
LoL.... Phase 4 is weakest character in the game....
Also trying to balancing a character by making them difficult only works if you make then SUPER DIFFICULT so that shes unreliable even in the hands of The Beast.
As it is right now even I can nail her BNBs for 3 hours before I start...
LoL... Kazunoko doesn't seem to be suffering.... he's always in top 8 with that Character.
Also the Grey Health mechanic makes up for it since shes got quite a number of fast moves that are plus on Block.....
All she has to do is land a few Block Strings then Throw.
@Force_of_Nature
LoL... Thats my point exactly. I took me over 3 months to get my FSK consistency above 60% and in the end... its no different than any other move.
I mean if you follow that reasoning to its logical conclusion then you can make A Standard jab "Special" by making it a Just...
@Bacaww
Once Again... I'm not against her Teleports... I'm against how difficult they are to perform.
LoL... I could have sworn I made that clear.... am I not saying these right ?
LoL... because they were lacking in that Department ?
I think not... they are both already unique regardless of execution requirements.
Infact the FSK itself is pretty special. its a Tracking High Kick Launcher/Relauncher and a Frame Trap... thats a very special move.... making it hard to do...
