I honestly don't think TN is playing favorites when balancing their characters. I just don't think they know how to do it, and so everyone comes out with a random assortment of tools and some work well and others don't.

She does not match their damage. That's like saying "I'll remove all your good tools so that you'll get better by struggling more than everyone else." Doesn't make her a better character at all, since you could then apply all that you learned to another character. None of these are advantages...
