The update isn't going to matter since you aren't getting the full package of the game. It isn't like SFV or Tekken 7 levels of balancing since remember, Sega already made a balanced game for the most part. You can spend nothing and just get the emulator for PS3 and the ISO.

It is only arcade and local play, yeah. In the Minigame section of the menu when you boot it up. No customization though., or dojo for that matter.
