Eh, everyone who says DS2 is easier than DS makes me sad. and I beat him first try. He was really easy. I was expecting it to get harder but maybe not? Also, I saw an area in DS2 and I really hope it's a throwback to the original. The enemies look like those in Anor Londo. I love that boss...

Blighttown was really not as bad as everyone thinks. People get scared by the poison that does like, no damage at all. You can even rush through the entire place to the bonfire in 2 minutes.

: ( I have to say, when the connection sucks you will get lagstabbed for weeks. Otherwise it's a lot of fun.

You will need a purging stone. You can buy them from the female undead merchant in the sewer close to firelink shrine. You could also buy them from Oswald who is located right after you defeat the gargoyles. Spoiler because I don't know if you're in this part of the game yet.
