BotA is one of my favorites, actually. The scene where Genshin basically gives Ryu his soul to fully power up the blade is pretty awesome and the red lightning is a cool effect.

That wouldn't work simply because that would portray Ryu as weak. It'd be out of character for Ryu to be saved by someone else, even a ninja master like Hayate.
