Wow, if it's literally Sigma 2 running with better visuals on top, with even the original models still in the game, then would have be cool if they allowed the option/unlockable switch back to the Sigma 2 models XD I watched some comparison videos (with OG NG2) and everyone is saying how good...
Well at least in their Steam description for the game it says "The world of “NINJA GAIDEN 2” remastered with rich visuals!", I guess "The world of" is what makes the difference, lol. Remove the first three words and its untrue because recent findings show it really is Sigma 2 with a visual...
Ok, so for the Sigma games, Sigma comes BEFORE the number, and for the Black games, the Black comes AFTER the number... right? Anyone else keep getting this shit wrong? XD
I already memorized which type of pie each persona of Lisa prefers, I need to get this right too.
I've seen multiple streams of people playing an NG game for the first time because of all this hype (starting with NG2B I guess, lol). So any criticisms aside, that's enough to make this all worthwhile.
Looks like physical copies are only gonna be for PS5 and from Play Asia so far...
https://play.asia/blog/2025/01/24/ninja-gaiden-2-black-ps5-physical-release-on-march-27-pre-order-now/
edit: yeah I'm pretty mad about this too >_<
Well the title and the game's description does imply that it's a remaster of OG NG2, difficulty and all, but with all of Sigma 2's content added in, so I wouldn't fault people from feeling mislead if it turns out to be more like a remaster of NGS2. If it says "Black" it should be worthy of it...
I wonder if Team Ninja could ever use Sega's Dragon Engine for the next DOA somehow, like VF6? I was just thinking it would have been so perfect if NG4 could have been done in an engine called the Dragon Engine, if not the Katana Engine.
So, weirdly.... for some reason the official Xbox upload of the Ninja Gaiden 2 Black trailer doesn't show Ayane, Kasumi, and Rachel at all.
The Steam and Sony trailers are the same as the KT one, it's only the Xbox one that's different.
First Kenji now Yakumo, I'm just wondering where all these other young Super Ninjas are coming from lol. Along with Ryu and Hayate, the village is packed with heroic young guys I guess.
Another site reported/translated it differently...
https://animecorner.me/sony-announces-end-of-blu-ray-disc-and-other-physical-media-storage-formats/
Looks like it's just the consumer discs to use as storage that is being ended. Hopefully, cuz that would be the best case here. Still, end of...
Sony is really something this gen eh? lol. They're all in with digital now. End of an era. I don't think this means the end of games & movies on discs, but it doesn't make things any easier for what remains of the market. I guess Nintendo will keep physical games alive with their proprietary...
Well they're saying it's "developed by Team Ninja & Platinum Games" and calling it a "collaboration", so I'd be surprised if Team Ninja's part in it is literally just Yasuda. After having so much success with Nioh I'm actually surprised they felt they had to bring in Platinum at all, but all...
NG4 is so cyberpunk in style, I love it. And maybe because of Yakumo, I even get Batman Beyond vibes... XD
And I hope NG2B gets a physical release too.
