Some moves are viable and can be done manually. Some moves are not viable because they have a smaller window and its physically impossible for human hands to hit three directional inputs on a directional pad within 2/60ths of a second at the exact right moment. This isn't like Akira's knee...

1 frame links in 2D fighters require single button input. This requires multiple, and a stick/D-pad isn't a button. Completely different situation and some moves have a tighter window than others.

This game was a real treasure.

I wouldn't ban any stages aside from Dojo. Infinite drop stages may well favor some characters who are knockback oriented, but that's exactly the point of counter-picks. Just as Lorelei may well favor karate types and lancers. Dojo just happens to break certain matchups if certain movement...

This game was a real treasure.

Gambling is fair provided the odds are even, but the odds almost never are and there are other factors in play in regards to fighting games such as knowledge and reaction time which have nothing to do with odds. As much as possible, players would prefer they are allowed to choose options that...

First and only warning I'm going to give in regards to personal attacks. Whether foul language is being used or not, don't be petty. That will not be tolerated here. Otherwise, feel free to continue the discussion.

    Some gameplay issues with DOA6?

In tekken, that isn't always the case but 99% of the time it IS the case. In DOA, you have the opposite situation. Anyway, strings that end in high can arguably be safer if there isn't any mixup option. In general its sorta bad to use those moves anyway.

    Some gameplay issues with DOA6?

In this context meaning strict input time with no room for delays between attacks.

    Some gameplay issues with DOA6?

In older games we had enough push back. Throw range has gotten longer and longer as the series has progressed, though. And it's character and throw specific too. Honoka is an example of it being absolutely out of control, despite her stubby little T-rex arms having no strike range. Moves are so...

    Some gameplay issues with DOA6?

Universal throw break mechanics and proper movement. That's the only way because it allows you to weather the storm instead of being forced into hitting buttons to survive as is presently the case. It wouldn't matter if they slowed down BB because it still counters attacks, and you'll be hitting...

    Some gameplay issues with DOA6?

There is, however, an EXTREME problem with it when there is no way to safely bait out the threat or avoid it. We have no good sidestep system right now, nor throw breaks and some characters move like bricks. You're going to be encouraged to hit buttons to survive, like you've always been, but...

    Some gameplay issues with DOA6?

Brute's just always like that. I don't think he means much by it. I've always found it helps if you picture him as one of those dead-eyed tsundere anime girls that always speaks emotionlessly but with intelligence and is mildly derogatory towards everyone. Kinda like his avatar. Yea, just...

Hold ? Fixed or not ?

As been stated, that's specific to the "crowd" dangerzone, not to walls. The downside of using that dangerzone is the possibility of being held. The upside is the potential for more damage than a wall, as you get a full launch opportunity or possible hi-counter throw punish if you read the hold...

I'm getting older, Camel. 31 this year. I expect a superior imagination from younger minds, not just copying my tech. I want THEM to show ME something. And I want them to apply it in a way I cannot comprehend.

We're calling ALL of my copycats awesome now? I don't know, I gota be a little bit harder on them than that. These kids have had more than a decade to catch up to me and it hasn't happened yet.

    Maximillian's Hands-On video.

Well, as unwanted as stances may be to some people, its the easiest way to add things without removing things because new stuff gets shoved into a sub-category not normally accessible. I think its rather efficient, personally, but oh well.

    Maximillian's Hands-On video.

I don't think its really possible to make a tutorial to cover how every single thing interacts in a fighting game. There is just too much, and if you go the VF4EVO route with the tutorial and actually TRY to do that you end up making people feel overwhelmed despite its solidity. But, yes...
