Keep thinking like that, and you'll be a slave to outside approval the rest of your life.
If you know in your heart you did your best and the outcome was positive, own that shit and move on. At the same time, don't submit to arrogance.

For me it was when Itagaki announced DOA would be exclusive to a then-unproven contender for the PS2, the Xbox. Despite this, I bought the console and the game in good faith for Team Ninja's works prior to DOA3. Imagine that... a time when "Team Ninja" and "good faith" were often used in the...
Man, the Tony Hawk series had some bangers. Now you're bringing me back to 2001.
And while I don't care for mumble rap, I'm probably as old as you (if not older), and I still fucks with EDM.
@Glitterati : Speaking for myself, I'm not bothered. You asked questions in a public status update that I could relate to as someone who (still) plays DOA6, so I gave an honest answer. If however, my difference of opinion bothers you, that's another story.
1) I enjoy playing it with friends and pleasant company. But most importantly, I enjoy playing it for myself, especially on PC.
2) It's going toward my personal hours of playtime.
3) There are plenty of different games I enjoy, but I have no desire to drop DOA6 anytime soon.
If elbows are all I gotta worry about when playing the actual game, I believe I'll be just fine.
Yes, I get it, there are people out there who get off to perfectly textured female elbows... not kink-shaming you in the slightest.

Based on personal experience of giving my honest opinion, most of the time I'm better off keeping it to myself and/or a select few that I know I'm cool with on a personal level.
What they really meant to say is "I'm not interested in that right now". They only say those things because they were made to believe it's the "cool" thing to say in the FGC.
A sneak peek of things to come in my most ambitious video series of next year - "Dead (L)or(E) Alive: Dead or Alive Lore Explained" - premiering sometime in January 2021.
As a personal tribute to the 25th anniversary of the 3D fighting game series, this collection of videos will cover the lore...
All that I understand is that I'm not ashamed that I love me some breast jiggle, and IMO, there isn't a FG that does it quite as well and in such unique, various ways like DOA does. It may have not been my main draw for getting into the series, but damn if I'm gonna deny it was sweet icing on...
