Dead or Alive 5: Remaining Issues

One person comes in with an incredibly flawed "opinion", so we tell him he is wrong due to the facts not being on his side, so he continues to the ignore the facts so he can legitimize his opinion (at least, in his mind). In the process all sense of unified criticism is lost because the guy...

Dead or Alive 5 Alpha Demo System and Character Discussions

    1. Punch Punch Throw is, and will continue to be an issue because throws are not breakable... hopefully in DOA 6 they will be breakable, if there is a DOA 6. Takes a lot of work to make all of those animations though. Throws also beat out SS, so that isn't going to be a way to avoid them. I...

Dead or Alive 5: Remaining Issues

I understand exactly what you're talking about and agree with it pretty much 100% Doug.

    The 360 Pad (Controller) Thread

Silver pad would be my preference. Also, the buttons on the silver pad are good whereas the EX had.... issues.

    The 360 Pad (Controller) Thread

It's hard to explain, but I get far better inputs with the silver pad than I do with the stock controller, and I've found that with practice I actually handle it better than the dual shock 3. The downside to the pad is, despite the fact its a "transforming" dpad, you want to leave it in the...

New Dengeki (JPN) report with Sarah Bryant and Rig in action!

Yea, well the VF characters tend to have weaker holds and can't abuse the string delay system the same way the DOA characters can. And why do you care if the VF guys can juggle in a different manner than the DOA characters can? It's just visual... all that matters is the damage being done...

New Dengeki (JPN) report with Sarah Bryant and Rig in action!

Actually they can. And if you want DOA to be halfways decent you should hope TN learns a thing or two from the VF characters.

    The 360 Pad (Controller) Thread

The EX was crap, but you seemed to like it for some reason Smithy lol. Just go with a silver twist pad and keep it in the "down" position so it doesn't snap off. Infinitely better than the stock 360 pad.

Dead or Alive 5: Remaining Issues

I'm talking primarily about what Master repeated, as it is the vibe I get as well from our conversations. Seems it's the reality of the situation. Everything you could possibly want to put on a list, we've already said to them. You're welcome to make the list anyway -- they claim that they...

How much have characters changed from DOA4 > DOA5?

Zack hasn't changed much at all, and he's considered all the worse for it. Hopefully he gets more tweaks before launch. Kokoro/Leifang have changed a good deal, but you sorta have to play them to understand.... Like a lot of Leifang's moves are considered Sabaki's now, and automatically...

Dead or Alive 5: Remaining Issues

The biggest issues won't be addressed, because TN has already stated they have no interest in fixing them as they don't see them as issues. The minor issues are all character dependent. In general, characters need more access to unholdable stuns and safe moves across the board.

    DOA Q&A

He means throw as you're leaving stun. A big part of Bayman's pressure game comes from getting his victim with a DDT as they leave a deep stun. This can be avoided if they buffer a throw as they leave that stun.

New Dengeki (JPN) report with Sarah Bryant and Rig in action!

So, not sure how many people noticed it.... There is a bit of post-fight character molestation going on.

This was a decision by Sega, not Team Ninja.

So which version is everyone all getting

Uhhh... well... NGS2 co-op sucks, i know from personal experience. NG3 MP on both systems sucks from what I've heard. So Ninja Gaiden hasn't been doing well in the MP department. DOA has always been tolerable, though... Be surprised if they mess it up.

So which version is everyone all getting

Ummm.... Well I'm certainly not claiming that at all. I own both consoles and a gaming PC as well. And as I said, there is no reason whatsoever for me to claim bias. All I can say on your behalf is that you simply are not noticing the differences, because I assure you they do exist and they can...

So which version is everyone all getting

I own both consoles and I have done PLENTY of testing. It's not blanket of all. In fact, when the game launched Mr. Wah tried to do a live stream room similar to 8wayruns, but on the PS3. He too, will attest to the stupid amount of lag and disconnections compared to the 360 version. And yes...

So which version is everyone all getting

Those games have good netcode. And the 360 versions both handle much better on average than their ps3 counterparts do. 1. I'm overstating nothing. To learn what only a few players know, you will have to face those players and be exposed to it. To know what everyone else knows, you will...

So which version is everyone all getting

And still one of the more underplayed games in general... whether or not they happen to be loud is another issue... even DOA 4 was loud. Guarantee you'd have more people playing it if the online play didn't suck. Here's the facts, most people don't live in tournament hubs and also don't feel...

So which version is everyone all getting

I was actually being serious. Doesn't make playing on the platform any more desirable though. If the majority of connections are going to be shitty, they are going to be shitty, regardless of the reason. For convenience reasons I really would prefer to be playing on the PS3 since it's...
