Hmm, i dunno about the doa scene in Finland (only fighting game I know that's big out there is smash), but you've mentioned b4 that there are locals and tournaments held close to your area so I would start off with going to those ave trying to network with other doa players

slowly working your way into your local DOA network, and then the next thing you know, 5 of your are in a car driving off to some out of state local/tournament to rep your area and your bonds grow stronger, not just with your local peeps but the ppl you came to play against, and that's kinda...

but when i started going to tournaments and actually making an effort to talk to people, that's kinda what gets the ball rolling, cause the next thing you know you start finding out that there are ppl in your area who are also DOA players, then you start going over to their houses to play for...

it's also reason why players like Hungrybox get so much shit, one of the reasons he's infamous is that for years he hasn't shared jigglypuff tech with anyone, he also doesn't play casuals cause he doesn't want ppl to observe him and develop counters to his play, no doubt it's definitely helped...

that's a very post 2009 mindset to have on the issue, cause i definitely remember a time where the people who were wining and had the tech were very hush hush about it, which makes sense if youve got access to stuff that gives you the upper hand, why would you let anyone know about how it works...

I legit dropped DOA5 back in 2012 because i got tired of randomly losing out on damage after i landed hits, i eventually came back for Ultimate but it was nice to get out there and try other kinds of fighting games, cause back then DOA was the only fighting game I played, dark times
