They claim they put a lot of work into balancing the VF characters into this game so i'm hoping this isn't the case. Regardless, even if Helena is ass tier in this game, i'll still play her. She's been my main forever.

I don't think that any characters should be nerfed because none of them seem too good. Taking tools away from good characters shouldn't ever be the way to go, you should just bring low tier characters up to par. I really hope that they get it right the first time because multiple balance patches...

I really like the approach that you guys are taking with Helena's needed improvements. Online balance patches are a terrible way to correct things! I come from the Soul Calibur community and the balance patches in SCV basically killed the viability of some characters and made others...
