Ein used to be my main back in DOA2 and 3. But to be honest, I won't missed Ein that much seeing how Ein is Hayate and Hitomi is more fun to play as than Ein IMO. It would be cool if Hayate had some sort of costume that reminds us of Ein.

Itagaki never claimed to mimic his likeness off Ein. The fact is Itagaki would use Kasumi. The Ein thing came about because I had joked pre-DOA4 how Ein's outfit style for his Neo matrix costume looked a lot like Itagaki only with Brown hair. Nothing was said about the matter by Itagaki himself.

Im not a fan of losing characters. Espescially since the roster is rather small compared to most other 3d fighters. Also, people who main Character was Ein is losing out big time.

Smaller rosters are easier to learn(and balance), especially with match ups. So there's a huge trade off. I'm not a fan of losing characters, but I feel that Ein and Leon knowledge can be transferred over to Hitomi and Bayman to some degree.

Its just not the same imo. These characters had their own personalities, that players could relate to. Their moves were an extention of that personality.

i hope you're right.Bayman and leon may be similar gameplaywise but they 're not the same,i like them both ,Bayman for it's military approach and leon for his "wild and violent" style.I like hitomi but that's not the same...It's more a question of personality extension as VirtuaPAI pointed out.But those "minor" changes won't diminish my hype.

apparently the leak list only lists his camera select data, he has no character model data which is the reason how word of him being cut early on during development started. its not a complete set in stone confirmation of him not being in but its awfully suspicious that every other character has their model data BUT him on the demo exe

His data is still there at the very least, he could just be the only one that hadn't been worked on since the alpha demo. Which makes sense since he was also a hidden character in DOA4.

I'd personally not be up in arms about a DLC expansion pack that has Ein and Leon added to the roster with two new stages about a year after the game has come out.

If I have to wait a year I'm going to want more than a couple characters and stages. Doesn't take a full year to polish and balance two characters in a game with as few total characters as DoA5. Couple that with TN being a relatively small team and having multiple projects going almost constantly and we have a situation where if we don't get content within about three months, we're not getting it. I could see content being held back for a Wii U launch, but they haven't said anything about a Wii U version.

Pretty much that exactly. Hell in DoA4 he wasn't changed from DoA3 at all except where system changes were involved. That was totally fine.

Not a year ... a month and a half maybe .. but a year?!
Battletoads 3D would be out by then.. and when that happens, no1 will wanna play DOA, or any fighter, ever again.
