Anyone miss Ein?

yeah, piss on that year later bs. PS4 and xbox 720 launches will be in full force by then and will be what ALL hardcore gamers will focus on. i still have a gut feeling they'll pull a ninja gaiden 3:razors edge and make DOA5:harcore for wii-u and will be where the cut characters will debut along with a bunch of other extra crap like costumes and stages

I just don't want a balance patch 3 months in. If the DLC is not a balance patch then I don't mind. The game shouldn't get a balance patch until one year after release I think, and that's even IF it needs a balance patch. Last thing I want is a 4.0 > 4.1 instance again.

There has to be a point where the players decide if there is a patch needed. And we will not know till a year or so have passed.

The players should NEVER be in charge of whether a game should be patched or not. The current setup of bitching loudly and in public places and the devs deciding whether it's people whining 'just because' or if the complaints need addressing works fine. Players, even the hardcore competitive ones, are completely self-serving and almost never have an objective view of the entire game. We should function as a mouthpiece, not as trigger-men.

Than what would be the purpose of having a patch if it is not based on players tournament experience. I see no other reason to have a patch, because the devs are not the ones playing the game after release.

I'd much rather them listen to people here than ones elsewhere that will cry because they keep losing to the same move over and over but refuse to learn how to deal with it.

Leak says that there's data for him, none for Ein. What you got?
Trust me, Leon didn't make the cut either unfortunately.

You both missed my point. Please re-read my second sentence and last sentence. Pai, your statement was that WE should decide if we get a patch. That's all fine and good except for the part where I wasn't talking specifically about DoA5 and FSD and neither were you if your wording is anything to go by. The developers will pay attention to what we say, but they'll also pay attention to other forums, YouTube, and Twitter. We should give feedback as we always have, and they're definitely listening to us more than ever, but as players we shouldn't have any more control than that. We're basically filling out surveys for them to sift through.

Um my first post came directly after mr.wah who was talking about Doa5 being patched. I chimed in right after. Why would I not be talking about Doa5 and this particular community? I made no comment suggesting I was talking about anyone else but our community.

If you was talking about another community, you did not specify, and deviated from the side tracked discussion. There was no way myself or grap3 would have known or implied such a thing, since the base of your counter argument is centered around my post, which was about this community and Doa5.

No, I completely got your point. My point was, despite your opinion on fan feedback, I would rather have them adjust the game to players that understand it better than those who don't. Every time a fighting game dev has patched a game, it's been the exact opposite scenario.

Pai, your post seemed to stand on its own so I didn't think to read a prior post.

grap3, it's not my opinion, it's nearly everyones'. Go read SRK's comment section on almost any UMvC3 article or combo vid. A lot of complaining. Then put on a blast shield and go read GameFAQs for a real eye-opener on whining. It's not just my opinion. Anyway, I addressed what you're saying in my post. They won't JUST listen to us, or even a select few of us, so the whole thing just wouldn't work.

You guys are talking about a perfect situation. Fantasy land. It's just not gonna happen.

I wouldn't mind that, honestly. Every other company does it so why not?

I don't think you guys should be giving up on Leon or Ein for DOA5 just yet.

If they do make a DOA5 hardcore it'll probably be an arcade release, with eventual console update in the future. This time Wii U and PC get a release as well.

DoA hasn't been in the arcades in over 10 years. What the hell makes you think they would suddenly make an arcade version?

Can't we do something about Leon and Ein? Like go to Team Ninja building with costumes and signs? *sigh* feels like Soul Calibur 5 all over again..I am unluckily the type that sees a character as a avatar for one's self and not tits.

Ein could easily be retconned into the story like Hayate looked like him and they just called him Ein to replace him with the original Ein gone missing.

Could be shock for Hayate and one for Hitomi and could even make him evil.(make his Matrix outfit main outfit even give him fancy suits as rich villain or something.)

For Leon , he pretty much has something going for him if I recall.(been a while since I looked at story.)

Including the VF5 cast to appeal to arcade players would be my assumption. They've also made an engine fit for high level competition. Of course they've already laid down the ground work for a DOA x VF game. I wouldn't be surprised to see DOA characters in the next VF either.

Easiest way to fit Leon into the story (if thats your excuse) is just to have Donovan be the reason behind Roland's death and he just found out and now hes angrier and crazier than ever... simple .. problem solved

I don't give a shit about the story. I just want him in. Especially how his moves evolved in DOA4.. he was one of the only reasons I would even give that game a spin.

On a side note,

a full blown DOA x VF would be my dream come true. I can honestly quit competitive fighting after a game like that because there's simply no topping it. I would call it... DOA vs VF: Battle of the 5's (and have a 5 on 5 team mode .. aaaah )

ALL DOA6 DOA5 DOA4 DOA3 DOA2U DOAD
