You can press hold as soon as she starts floating and she'll teleport back to the ground.

The same as every other character's legality in a tournament.
You never, ever, ever ban a character unless there is something truly broken about them and it has been proven through competitive play.

At 1:50 is that a normal throw for her? She completely went threw Bayman's OH and also her back roll is insanely fast but also looks unsafe so if what was said about holding in mid float that she teleports back to the ground is true then she might be an issue...maybe. /shrug

I'm aware, hence the question.
If someone bans Alpha 152 then they're seriously moronic. That is, unless the ban is because she's ridiculously time-consuming to unlock and the TO can't do it on all the consoles. Then it's alright. She's not very good. I'll post some videos of her in use tomorrow if you guys want.

In dimensions (as it looks in 5, though I'm not sure as I haven't played her yet) she had no wake-up kicks except for one, and you had to be on your stomach facing the opponent. Otherwise, she'd always tech roll backwards in that little jump, and it was REALLY unsafe.
Once you were hit as Alpha 152, there really was no regaining the offensive unless you were lucky. Her counters were just teleports that teleported her behind the opponent (though in Dimensions, attacks instantly re-tracked, so it was useless in most cases) and once on the ground, the opponent could do pretty much whatever they wanted to you.
That floaty stance you see comes out after certain moves/throws or can be input manually, and you can do that flying body-slam you've seen or teleport to the ground. It seems as though she can now teleport behind the opponent with that move, though again, I'm not sure since I haven't played 5 yet.
Truth be told, I don't think she can teleport at will. What I mean by that is I think she still needs to counter or use that stance to do it. Maybe she can, since I didn't see a counter animation when he hit her with the 2 lows and she disappeared behind him, but we'll see.
Alpha isn't a good character, but she can be fun (why, I don't know, but she is). Her throw damage was incredible in Dimensions, although highly telegraphed when going for her powerful throws, though as you've seen, they can crush highs. In any case, I'm looking forward to playing as her again.

How do you unlock her? Story mode titles? Time Attack? Survival?
I won't be surprised if there's more than one way of unlocking this character.
edit: So, you have to get 300 titles to unlock alpha. Not too bad.

Was just curious, I didn't play DoAD and wont be acquiring 5 until actual launch day. Was curious what first hand impressions were of her, would she follow the same path as Tengu or actually be usable. Thanks for the info.
