Honestly, I would not have been one bit upset had they took every stage from say Dead or Alive 3 or 4 and ported them over and had no new ones. Would not have cared.

I'd have to say Aerial Gardens just from how potentially amazing it would look in next gen if the lighting is done right. But it has to be the night version from the original DOA2 with the fireflies, that is by far the most visually appealing version.
We must have all 3. Day time, night time and definitely the sunset version. :)

Despite the game being great, playing it now after all those years reminded us of how the system could be exploited. Mainly with low holds.. or just throwing out a hold straight away and how your stun game gets eliminated and the situation gets reset. That isn't exactly a good thing. and returning to neutral all the time is not exactly good.

It's called you're playing the game incorrectly.

I want MORE memorable stages than just Aerial Gardens. Bring back every damn beautiful stage from the previous series except the ones that is bland & garbage.

I agree. This is supposed to be fucking... ULTIMATE!!! Why must we ask for things that would seem so obvious and.. and... oh so necessary!(?) Will this game be worthy of that title?
(Think about it for a second.)

NO. (Just from the sheer amount of costumes that I know they're not going to match.)
But it still will be moderately satisfying. I hope.

(Eager to see what they've done for character themes. Weren't they confirmed as in?)

Yeah, but they did the same thing with DOA5+ and they pretty much only included people's DOA4 themes, the game in the series with the second lamest OST.

I'm praying for DOA2/3 music back. Knifepoint, Monster, Blazed Up Melpomene, The Shooted, Break the Age... ah, so many good tracks from those games.

While those songs are priceless/timeless imo, I was hoping more along the lines of all new character themes. That's one of the reasons I was excited about DOA4. Hearing Zany Zapper (always first song played in DOA4) was a real kick when I first played Xbox 360 on Dolby Surround.

I'm hopeful we'll still get new character themes because of the E3 trailer music. Sounded new, and I kinda liked it.
(still didn't get me more hyped than E3 Trailer music, Circle from DOA4)

DOA4's OST was okay with the exception of some tracks I really liked. Some were in the CG character endings.
I thought DOA2U was awesome for bringing back all character themes and THEN some with the remixes in Crash Club.

Something tells me 5U won't even include all the themes from DOA2 to 4 which is a shame because some character's themes have been really hit or miss (Tina's DOA2 theme = Good, DOA3 = Decent, DOA4 = Ugh.) And also, TN said that 5U would have the most stages of any DOA to date, but hasn't it already achieved that goal?

Scramble, Flow, Primal, Fuel, Home
Hot Zone, Depths, Lab
Lab (Story mode) (Why isn't this playable in other modes again?...)
The Show (Clowns) (Why does this stage exist?)
The Show (Tigers)
Sakura, Street, Dead or Alive, Arrival
Sweat, Dojo, Fighting Entertainment, Ends of the Earth
Temple of the Dragon, Zack Island, Aircraft Carrier
Lost World, Forest, Desert Wasteland, Sky City Tokyo

That's 26 stages. 25 if we combine Flow's tiers and 20 if we do that and remove the ultimate stages we don't have yet. Aren't we already beating DOA2U which currently has the record of most stages with it's 22 (Almost with Vanila). It's not the number of stages we have but their quality. DOA3 only had 15 stages but no one complained about the lack of variety because each stage was full of life and had it's own unique quality both aesthetically and from a gameplay standpoint.

I always hear people say 5 hardly has any stages but the truth is the lack of life. Each stage has it's own look but most of them are just boxes with different things happening in them and there's too much dark and grittiness. Stage variety is what we need because we honestly have more than enough stages as is.

One last thing that's bothering me is like I said before that TN said 5U would have the most stages of any DOA game but seeing as it's already done that, is that to say we won't be seeing any more stages? I hope not. I don't feel that's something you should say if we've already seen them all.

Anyone know if default lifebar is still 270 in 5U? I noticed Shimbori was playing with 300 HP in GS video

I hope they didn't raise it again. I still feel 240 is the correct way to play the game. I was actually gonna bring this up sooner or later. If they keep 270 as Normal, what do you people think about playing in Small¿
