Really? It seems like Ayane is the fastest character with Kasumi coming in second, then Hayabusa, then Hayate.

Ayane seems to hit like 6 times in the time it takes me to even stop blocking, let alone start to punch. Makes me afraid to actually be offense on ninjas, since they always seem to avoid everything (invincibility frames during their moves, or what?), on top of doing like 4-6 attacks in the time it takes other characters to do 1.

Ayane is not faster than Kasumi. Kasumi has a faster jab and mid punch and ties with ayane for low punch.

I'm not sure how that means she's faster than Ayane. Ayane's spinning seems to make her hit a lot more a lot faster than Kasumi does, overall.

When we talk about speed, we usually have the startup frames of a string starting or single attack in mind. Frames = how long the move takes to execute in displayed frames. 60 frames per second, so 10 frames (typical jab speed) is 1/6 second.

What comes after in a string isn't as important, since if you got hit by the first move, you are usually stunned, and will get hit by the next move regardless of how fast it is. Same story if you blocked the first move, you can block/interrupt by crushing the next moves almost as easily even if they're a bit faster.

None of you understand what truly needs to be done. Leave the top tier alone, buff Eliot to god status, buff Bass to 3.1 status, buff Zack to top tier, give Kokoro tracking. The most important thing is that they buff Hayate because he was unfairly robbed in this game >:/. Top tier for 2 weeks wtf is that? Buff the dude to 3.1 Hayate plz. Also give Hitomi her frametraps plz.

Kokoro doesn't need more tracking. If anything I'd like to see everyone else in the cast to lose a few tracking moves and nerf string abilities to auto align into a SS.

the costume is soo cute. about the move i saw only 2 new kick...and the shoryuken moveXO I hope is not all. He need more moves and more mix up. however his new win pose is soo soo cuute. Eliot you're my favorite after all XD

If there are nerf's there should only be a small list of moves that receive them.

Sarah > Make P+K negative on block, it's cool that it parries mid's and jumps over lows but if I bait it by waking up and blocking I shouldn't still be a disadvantage. It's still a godly tool without being +2 on block seeing as it eliminates all wake up kicks.

Gen Fu > Maybe make his F+K counterable?

Lei Fang > Fix the hit box on her 1P+K so she can't DP out of shit constantly.

Helena > If blender stays increase whiff recovery of 6P by 2 frames reducing frame advantage from +4 to +2. BT 4PK should be -9 not -6. It's a godly launcher so it should be slightly easier to punish.

Jann Lee > Make 6P i12 instead of i11. He beats almost every character flat out when spacing so he shouldn't do the same up close.

Ayane > Remove the tracking from 4P, it's a panic move that trashes all high's and a lot of mid's whilst coming out in only i15. There are plenty of moves that spin that don't track, this should be one of them. Helena's P+K doesn't track even though she spins, and rightly so.

Lisa > BT ? The Butt Bump. This move should either be unsafe or counterable. She has the ability to get into BT at -3 which she can follow up with The Butt Bump and she is still at -3 even if that is blocked. It's an i12 high crush. At least make it -5 so characters with slower mid's can beat it out properly.

Nerf's should only be to moves that are stupid and are unreasonably difficult to get around. Keep legitimate tools remove brain dead BS.

It's been five whole weeks since I fucked my Christie doll stupid. Cut me some slack.

Anyway, all I want for Christie are my DOA4 strings and wall combos back, and 6h+k to actually be useful by having advantage on block, and a viable launcher on hit . There were other suggestions from other Christie players, but I forgot what they were off the top of my head. So I archived them., retweeted them to TN, and never looked back.

Well since you know of ps allstars. I'll put to you in short version it seems both game are balance around more than two opponents on the screen. So pretty much if you find the perfect tag in doa that can combo you for days and get the most free damage is comparable to putting Issac, Ratchet, Drake, Nariko, and Raiden in a free for all in ps allstars. So if you were trying to sound smart there. I'll quote you," LOL fail on your part."

You didn't read my last post on the "Fail" part. I said "Grammar Fail". I'm not gonna repeat the rest of it. You can read it. And you must not get it, do you? Everybody in here read what I put. I said "Fuck character bashing". That means it doesn't matter who or which character. I meant every last one of them and it was directed at everybody in here. If it was directed particularly at "you", I would've either tagged you or quoted you because it's a public discussion. I shouldn't have to explain myself a bunch of times to people when I post something.

I'm out of this discussion now anyways. It's too much of "meet my demands" rather than what actually needs to be done or what could happen in the scene (even though I'm enjoying the new stuff added) & no need to derail the thread

I wish they'd add some kind of a downside to the ninjas to offset them apparently being like 3-5x faster than everyone else (Except maybe Christie), combined with like, teleports, and insane evasive maneuvers. They just seem to be all pros and no cons compared to the rest of the cast.

I'm going to try and say this politely. You are saying the same things that all scrubs say about balance in every DOA game.

Ninja's = Kasumi, Hayate, Hayabusa and Ayane
Fastest Pokes = i9 jab / i11 mid. Average Pokes = i10 jab / i12 mid. Slowish Pokes = i11 jab / i13 mid.

Fastest Character's = Kasumi (i9 / i11), Christie (i9 / i11), Pai (i9 / i11) Gen Fu i10 / i11), Jann Lee (i10 / i11), Zack (i10 / i11), Sarah (i10 / i11).
Other Ninja's = Hayate (i10 / i12), Hayabusa (i10 / i13) and Ayane (i10 / i13).

Best Evasive Character's = Helena, Gen Fu, Brad Wong, Ayane and Tina.

I've been playing DOA for about 12 years ever since the Dreamcast version and I can tell you that everything you said is completely wrong. I'm telling you this from experience, take my advice and bare this in mind next time you decide to make statements like the one you just did.

Is it true that Lisa's and Tina's :1::K:s are nerfed in some way?
Why would they nerf Tina's 1K? Unless there is some awesome use for it that I've never noticed.

Kasumi is faster, but Ayane has more traps, making her seem faster than she actually is. Ayane is a mix up character, and Kasumi on the other hand, has the perfect rush down tools.
