Venting for a moment. This game makes me rage SO MUCH sometimes. Poking downwards make you pop UP? The FUCK? My character just stumbling around, apparently in stunlock or something, and nothing I can do? My attacks just whiffing by passing through the opponent as if they were a ghost?

GGRRAAAAAHHHHH!!!

Sometimes I just wish it was like this instead, where you could just beat the shit out of each other till one falls down. Be a lot less frustrating. Of course, I bet i'd still be getting limbs passing through bodies with apparently no hits connecting.

Just...Jim Carrey vs Chris Farley. Let's have that game.

Venting over.

Im done trying to debate. I said what I said, and that's that. If you disagree with my opinions so be it. I stand by what I say until proven wrong with hard evidence, which none of you are able to disprove.

Guy tells us to shut up about lifebar preferences when we'll be stuck with what we get for basically the whole game's life and then continues to talk about Rachel popping up in an insignificant DOA4 ending. My respect... starting to waver.
And this, Blaze, is why you and Zeo are at odds with each other.

Normally I'd play the role of Cupid Awesmic and ask you to kindly kiss and make up after this typical episode of Moonlighting, but I'm gonna give you the benefit of a doubt it won't be necessary. Please, don't post anything that would stoke the proverbial fires and make people lose respect for you and your opinions.

So hm...

Tina:
- Shining Wizard should be an offensive hold.
- Moves like CH/HCH 1K and P+K/6PPP on juggle should give her a free ground throw.
- 66K should cause a sit-down stun on HC/HCH on standing opponents too.
- 6PPP+K, 6H+K, Running K and 236K should all be positive on block.
- There seems to be a buffering issue that makes 4H+P come out when I want to do 64H+P. Happens a LOT.

Helena:
- More plus-on-block needed in general.
- If casuals win and PFT gets butchered, increase her damage potential.
- PP2K(P) should come back... it should have never been gone to begin with.
- Neutral way to go to BT like Ayane and Lisa (8P+K would be nice).
- Her normal hit stuns should be left untouched.
- Sit-down stuns should give her more advantage.

It's not a "casual vs hardcore" thing, it's a "helena player vs not helena player" thing.

Good luck finding someone who doesn't use Helena who thinks that PFT isn't a load of crap.

You know who needs buffs? Kokoro.

Yes. For starters, they should undo all the nerfs she got in 1.03. Of course she needs more tracking too. I think 7K should track. Not sure what else should track though. I'm not super familiar with Kokoro.

I'm not sure how many people will agree with me, but I can safely say Hayabusa could do with some buffs I mean he got nerfed hardcore in the E3 build of 5U, 3H+K one of his best tools is now unsafe and DOESN'T guard break? come on!! also could do with a few more tracking attacks it's so easy to whiff with Busa just cuz a fair majority don't track. But NEVER add tracks to ongyoin though the only Ongyoin attacks that might be useful tracking attacks are ongyoin K or Ongyoin PPhP( if these already do track then I'll apologise for being scrubby haha)

and speed buffs! speed buffs errywhur he needs to be a bit faster he's the slowest of all the Ninjas in 5 when before he used to be about if not equal to than faster than Hayate that kinda needs to be fixed if possible the only ones who can't really out punch him are Bass, Tina and Bayman and thats cuz they're grapplers.

OH and a good portian of his attacks are unsafe which almost anything and everything will be punished if you use the wrong move at the wrong time or you fuck up and use the wrong attack. :hayabusa: #BuffHayabusa

You know what, fuck this shit. Everyone needs buffs. Everyone needs good frame advantage off something other than Power Blow guard breaks that gurantees something. Everyone needs semi-tracking moves that can be stepped a certain direction, if not full tracking moves to give them some individuality. Everyone should get the KBD movement speed of the VF characters pre-patch.

Heck, you know what's really missing in DOA we haven't seen yet? Side throws. I bet TN can come up with some sick new side throws. Let's make this real interesting and make side throws follow up after sidestep the same way p and k do, that way the VF characters' side throws can be made relevant again.

I apologize if these sound like stupid ideas, but these thoughts just occured to me when I was thinking of ways to make some characters with linear movesets a bit more threatening. It was the best I could do, and talking strats ain't my strength. But I had to give it a try.

You're over estimating Team Ninja's ability to actually listen to the competitive American DOA players, but wishful thinking.

Guess I'll touch on Ein since we're actually talking about character changes. Instead of going in depth again I'll just skim through some stuff I think he should get. DOA4 Ein ported to DOA5 would basically make him a worse Hitomi. He's far too unsafe and he's already shown to have gotten a few nasty nerfs. I think he should get more safety and frame traps to offset his linearity, tracking moves and lack of unpredictable/long strings.

- 1p and 3p Should be +0 or +2.
- 46k should be a +5 GB like in 4.
- P+KP should be a +3 or +4 GB.
- 46p and 236p should be safe.
- 8p should sit down on NH and CH
- 3k should sit down on crouching opponents.
- For the love of God make 6kk safe.
- 2k should give a deep enough stun to guarantee CB even if slow escaped while in stun.
- Should get chargeable versions to both his mid kick and punch finishers in his strings for GB pressure.
- F+K should be a + frame GB.

Ein's an average speed power character. He should be able to keep pressure while up close. :ein: #BuffEin

A game can't really be all that deep when its only competitive by way of people exploiting the terrible design.
You forget that fighting games, by their nature, are emergent. By a combination of natural competitiveness and tradition (combos after all, started out as a glitch), the way fighting games are played is more often than not dictated by the players playing it. Stuff that seems broken down the line can become accepted later on. Case in point, alot of the glitches in older games (kara throws, wave dash, tri-dash, fly-cancels, left-right unblockables, high-low unblockables and off course combos) have become features in newer games. In fact, there are even instances where revisions that took certain glitches out were rejected because of those fixes (e.g. 3rd Strike Rev. B which removed Urien's unblockables, CvS2 EO that took out Roll Cancels, MSH vs SF).

The specs of the RingEdge2 aren't known but they would have to be significantly better than the current gen systems, no? I wonder if DOA5 will be running at 1080p and 60fps.
Sega's keeping the RingEdge2's specs close to its chest. First we though that it wasn't taht impressive since the first game to come out was an update of GGXX Accent Core (+R), but DOA5U and GGXrd seem to indicate that it's a pretty powerful machine under the hood. Actualy, with its PC based design, I suspect that it might be easy for them to simply swap out parts to upgrade the specs.

Be honest, are you just trolling or are you really this stupid?
