My Idea for the new Main Menu for DOA5U. Hope you like it.

It will have the scrolling options and more.
Good lord, TN themselves should be seeing this so they learn a proper thing or two about appealing art direction for menus -_-

Wasn't like the only difference with 3.0 and 3.1 the frames and hayates cartwheel? Why not go with 3.2?

Because 3.2 was practically DOA4, which I didn't like. 3.1 took more skill to play, rather than 3.2. 3.2 was still good though, just preferred 3.1.

In training mode for DOA5U, i want the optiom to select moves from CPU's moveset and play it back. This would be great for training, because that way you'll be able to figure out which moves to punish much easier.

That's what the record function is for.

They added a lot of frame advantage, loosened up FSD, added SS moves, added wall tech, added more guard breaks/moves/throws to characters, changed properties on some moves. 3.2 nerfed FSD to fix Hayate's cartwheel because clearly they couldn't figure out how to just fix the cartwheel itself. I've never played 3.2 so I don't know what else they did aside from tighten the FSD. I'd imagine it fucked with the wall tech though which was an extremely important tech in a game that punished you hardcore if you messed up near a wall.

I doubt 3.2 played like DoA4. I'm pretty positive all the frame data from 3.1 stayed the same and the new stun game didn't come around till DoA4. As far as I'm aware 3.1 and 3.2 are more or less the same just 3.2 has more strict tracking so FSD and SS attacks were not as strong.

What I meant about the DOA4 stuff is that DOA4 was practically a 2D game with the ability to move around the stage. When I play 3D FGs I rely on sidestepping ALOT, and in DOA3.1/.0 I could do so and punish attacks. 3.2 had most tracking moves so I couldn't do most of those things. SS attacks were very good in 3.1 and not so good in 3.2. It's just those few things that they should put in DOA5U. Sidestepping is very good in it, but the follow-up attacks are so bad for some characters, even though I've sidestepped, when I do the sidestep attack, I eat the next attack. When I sidestepped in 3.1, the enemy would just attack air, instead of track the movement. DOA3 had more side turned situations than 4 and 5. Sorry about the long paragraph Raansu, but that's just how I feel about sidestepping, that's all. :)

Like I said, I never played 3.2 so I don't know. As for 5...I agree SS needs to be much stronger. I don't like reading them SSing then getting hit by the follow up because your opponent realigns themselves as they continue to attack. Which is why if you ever see me play I started doing double SS's which works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Depends on your timing.

Have you seen all the customizing options though? Are you saying those too are visually unappealing?
Yes. I personally don't like customization options like that in fighting games. Detracts from the individuality and design of each specific character, in my personal opinion.

Yeah, I suppose. I'll try to use your strategy sometimes.

I'm of the mindset, the more options the better. I know TN and most people think this would fracture the community, but I don't see why TN couldn't give us the option to have the features of the E3 build, and then let the community decide which version to play at tournaments.

Because it would. Technically 4.0 was better than 4.1....way better, but we never played it at a tournament because of online play. This community is too attached to online and was the same reason no one wanted to play 3.1 (that and back during 2U no one wanted to mod or import an xbox which I get). I get it though, I really do. It sucks having no one to play in 3.1 so no one wants to practice in a mode others dont play. We also see the same thing in DoA5 with splitting lobbies between ranked and unranked. Look how empty the unranked rooms are, but I still get plenty of people in ranked search.

XBL must be a very different place from PSN...

It makes sense. DoA has been on the xbox for over 10 years. I imagine Tekken 6 was the same way with most being on the ps3, especially when Tekken 5 DR was added to PSN with online play.

Rank, record, and username need to be removed before accepting a rank match. Holy fucking shit TN.

I'm fine with the username, but the reason why everyone declines my requests is because it shows my record (Which is pretty damn high) They should show how much GP you have when you're in a match.

My record isn't all that impressive, nor is my rank. I have a fine connection, and people still decline matches all the time, provided there's anyone actually playing ranked.
