Well guys, it's, well where I'm at it's now March 24th. But the game finally officially releases here in the USA as of this day. I'll be picking mine up later on in the morning once GameStop opens up.

So lets all discuss things about DOAD once we get to playing it!

Dead Or Alive: Dimensions is here!

I haven't played awhole lot of it cause I have to soon get ready for work and there's other forums I need to hit up with posts. But anyway so fair I'm really enjoying it. Especially the new Cronicle mode. LOVE IT! The only downside to this is the D-Pad and buttons are just so freakin' small. I also hate where the d-pad is located. It's so tough to get a good handle on the 3DS when you want to use the shoulder buttons. Ugh! But Cronicle mode so far as been brain-dead easy. It basically plays like the Mortal Kombat story mode. The voice-acting is also really good. And the manual is done really well and in a cool new fashion too.

Also keep in mind about the daily free DLC. At the main menu of the 3DS there's supposed to be a glowing dot on the DOAD icon. But it didn't show for mine. But once you go into the game it should automatically unlock and even give you a notice saying that you unlocked a new costume for a character. If anyone has been walking with your 3DS you can actually use those points you earn and unlock a free costume that way too!

Ive played for 5 minutes and I already feel like cutting my hand off. The DS is too small for this crap.

The directional pad is far too small but to make matters even worse, you can't properly customize your controls. I wanted to set it up like I've been playing for the last six years: Y as punch, X as kick and A and B as free. I also wanted to set the shoulder buttons to nothing because I know I'm going to accidentally press them while gripping the system. What do they do? They force you to have a punch, kick, free, throw, P+K and F+K button. It's a three button fighter! Let me stick to my three buttons. Argh!

part of me was hoping the old 2p setups would return...I guess having a decent form of punishment from low attacks was asking too much though.

so far it feels a little disorientating playing a fighter on a handheld. The dpad does have issues with registering motions like 33 or 11 for certain moves.

In other news I have been given the go to write a guest review about this game for Diehard Gamefan.

Hitomi's 6f+p is still counterable after a hi-counter -_- I was hoping they would change that back to doa3 setup.

They seem about the same to me. Then again, I'm to busy getting mid countered to notice anything else.

Busa's fireball tracks. This game is trash.

Only at close to mid range. You'll have to be at a very far distances to sidestep it. Plus his fireball requires him to fully charge it so he's completely open to attack. If blocked, it'll cause a guard crush. The attack can only be blocked while standing. If crouched or crouched and blocking the attack will go through. It cannot be blocked while crouched.

70pts of damage while standing
87pts of damage while crouched

It always tracks, trust me, I tried several times from the other side of the map.

If it's anything like DOA3.1's sidestep avoidance, you can't be holding

when the move comes out, but must press :8: during the first 11 frames of the attack animation.

I have no idea. Training mode only does basic, doesnt let you pick moves for them to do like older doa's, so ive only been able to try test it online, and ive tried waiting till the move came out, ive tried free stepping during the charge up. It tracks regardless. Only way to dodge it is to counter.

edit: i made the AI side step and waited till he was facing my back and busa turned around completely and hit him with the fireball. . .
