It has been quite a while sense I have played doa4 or just any game in general lately haha, but when I made the choice of going back to doa4 online all I experienced was 2nd accounts who catch you with your pants down :eek: Players now a days seem to certainly favor using the high tier ninjas online,"mainly Kasumi" to get that win. After playing a good share of matches, all I can say is that people changed for the worse. Online play is so much different than offline play, so of course I encountered the dreaded "trolls" who talk a big game, yet rage quit after my EIn 3-0s them. Then comes the famous messages," Oh man your so bad! It's the lag play me again." When you play them a couple of times and they finally win, then all that comes out of it is a big ruckus, on top of random babbling iced with I'm not playing you again blah blah insert words haha. To wrap up this thread, I'm going to say that most of the doa players are salty :)

Online has always been like that. The complete lack of good players you are use to playing is why you are getting the full effect of those players.

I figured it wasn't, now I know for sure. When he introduced himself, he gave a shoutout to some random person. I also heard someone is parading around as him online. I don't get why people do that, that is some lame shit. But whatever.

So the real OBN is still m.i.a.

This isn't any different from the online of any other fighter, except the underlined part, that's standard fare for any fighter on or offline.

I'm back to playing online to brush up on my Bass & Tina stuff, but I have to tell you, infuriating as hell.
I'm getting a lot of flack for my play style, called too conservative because I am not mashing out counters all day long. I wait for my opening and attack, and as a result, I get called a noob for blocking.
I'm used to the ninja play, and there's the rub. I don't see a whole lot of difference in higher ranked players (A+ and up), using Kasumi over and over again.
The one that got me the most ticked off though, was this guy who rotated between Kasumi, Hayabusa, Gen Fu, and Jann Lee. "Noob", he exclaimed, "you gots ta step up yer garbage". Because I alternated between Bass, Tina, and Tengu (who gave me my one win against him).
Maybe I'm just jaded. Maybe it's just my long standing hatred of the ninjas. But I fail to see how I can be called out for my lack of skill when I'm not taking the easy way out online. This is probably just sour grapes, but it's my two cents.

I rarely get hate mail. And in the occasion that I do, the people who send it try to make amends eventually.

I dunno if it's because I'm reluctant to respond to hate mail or because word gets around about me being a nice guy, but I don't have these problems for long. If anything, I get word about occasional bad rumors about me, but that's it.
