Did anyone notice this? (Mila's face? 24 total characters?)

Thanks for that Dac. Yeah, I thought the three tiers/rows/w.e. had been confirmed too. It doesn't look anything like the random icon.

Did you even read the description? -_-
Yup, sure did, your point? All the things mentioned, can be done by any of the ninjas in game.
Really? How come cutscenes are mentioned after it describes what the character does as you use them. I split the sentences into two from the actual site:
This is talking about what the characters do in battle (example Ryu does a fireball for his powerblow move= magic):
Players mostly punch and kick opponents during fast-paced rounds of combat. Some fighters use special attacks involving swords, throwing weapons, or magic; matches are accompanied by battle cries and exaggerated impact effects.
This is talking about cutscenes:
Cutscenes also depict instances of violence, such as characters getting struck down with swords in slow motion.

If it were the case it would say: during cutscenes fighters use special attacks involving swords, throwing weapons, or magic; matches are accompanied by battle cries and exaggerated impact effects.
How do you know if the gameplay they are talking is IN story mode, meaning WE control the cutscenes with QTE's??? In the Declaration Trailer there are several sequences that look A LOT like QTE's and that's considered gameplay :) .

I think I just cleared this drama up. Once again, please stop bringing up Leon, Momiji, Rachel, Genra, Raidou, Ein, etc... it's so old. I couldn't care less at this point if I never saw any of them. If they come as DLC WAY later, then ok w/e let's be happy then.

Why the hell would we have QTE's? That was in Dimensions. A lesser downgraded version. I highly doubt it for DOA5..
Edit: And Raidou? Who ever said him??

Honestly I would welcome any additional character, be it ein, leon, tengu, or raidou or even your NG bimbos... As long as they fit well with the general balance of the game and dont break it.

But Honestly, the current characters changed so damn much you need a completely new mind set to play the game... Im feeling this with leifang so much.. not exactly better or worse, just really different. Its gonna be a major chore mastering the 24 characters let alone any possible dlc.
Im finding the excecution barrier alot tougher than older doas, then theres capitalizing on dangerzone damage, then u got PB and CB setups, optimizing juggles, wall combos, the slide back property of the ice stage, the slopes...and finally all the madness of tag... Theres too much to take in with just the 24...

I'd love Leon to make a triumphant comeback more than anything.. but if he never makes it in then... Oh well.. maybe next game..

I like the NG characters, as hollow as they may be, but we don't really need to see them in DOA. While it would be interesting to see what type of fighting style Rachel would employ, we really don't need any more ninjas (or want them for that matter).

What we need is not for NG characters to show up in DOA games, but for DOA characters to show up in NG games.

Random select is also missing that's actually another unlock for another character, plus to the far right you see the OK and and select symbol, which indicates that it is possible to get at least 7 more characters on the third row.
Not just 7 more slots on the third row, but 9 if you include the two spaces on the left. Imagine, 9 more slots. That would cover every character that showed up in Dead or Alive: Dimensions, with wiggle room for possibly removing "Kasumi Alpha" and perhaps another to make room for the much rumored Pai and maybe Donovan.

Really though, 9 more slots in a third row would pretty much gaurantee DOA5 has what it should have, and considering we know there will be a 3rd row already, and that DOA4 also had an asymmetric third row, there's no reason to doubt that they wont leave any empty space on the character select screen.

I'm with Emperor_Cow on this one. I personally won't miss characters like Ein or Leon, even though I like them (Leon was one of my mains in DoA2). I'm happy with Hitomi and Bayman filling their respective roles. I know some people are bound to take offense but really, Leon was just a Bayman clone. They tried to differentiate them some eventually but it wasn't by much. Ein may be more debatable, but once Hitomi showed up in 3 I dropped him because I preferred her style. So I'm probably a bit biased there.

Regarding Mila, I can't understand why anyone would want her to take someone else's style. Even though DrDogg has basically confirmed she isn't a mimic of some previous style, I still see comments hoping otherwise. I like the idea of being able to say "Mila's fighting style" as opposed to the inevitable "Mila fights like.." we'd constantly get with the latter. I'd hate to see Mila constantly being compared to a missing character and not being able to have her own unique identity.
