I recently saw some gameplay from DOA5 and it seems that what the gaming community seems to think of a "Professional Player" as being able to do long combos (repeatedly) in every round to gain a win. Casual Players play for the fun of the game and when up against a pro player it can kind of take the fun out of the game. No one plays fighting games to lose obviously but also who wants to lose knowing they have no chance.
Being that DOA5 is a simple game it evens the skill level a bit. Pro Players consider the game to be not tournament worthy because of that. In my opinion if your a pro player you should be able to master a game without cheap tactics and advanced mechanics. When I discuss a game I talk about the (characters, special moves, story etc) but when things like (Frame data, time frames etc) it becomes less fun. Games are suppose to be fun and pro players make the game more of a job.
(I am not saying all pro players do this)
Do You agree or Disagree?
