A renaissance inspired design can still be original. This is simply not renaissance style. She looks more like a 19th century prostitute. Adding more lace won't make it more renaissance-ish. ;)

This is a famous depiction of a renaissance courtesan by Hans Holbein, a German renaissance painter:

Here an even earlier one by Cranach:

Notice the distinctive sleeves, décolletage and hairdo?
I thought she looked more Oktoberfest-ish, more like Hitomi's maid dress.

Too Halloween-esque.

I can never come up with original, unless it's like, the avant-garde dress I made for Momiji (which is more graphic design element).

Maybe I should try more 18th-century prostitute. Renaissance isn't along my capabilities as of yet.

Or maybe I should go with like, pauper-ish.

Ehm.....so a while back I said now that I have a computer again that I'm going to make my old first contest submission as I would have if I had a computer at the time.

But it dawned on me my art skills in photoshop aren't that good lol. Like I don't know how to to the pants from the rear view (was relying on Synce's original art for me to help me draw the pants forward but...I can't do it from the back.) That plus I'm having a helluva time getting the non-tilted pants to look good on the far right pose.

In the meantime I've been trying to do other art to up my skills. (This isn't doa, but just as an example)
