I found this article, but it confused my peabrain. If this is opening a can of worms let me know and i'll stfu, but I thought DOAX was discontinued in the West because it wouldn't sell super well.

Also was gonna add, me and Tusara talked about this slightly, but I wonder for the reboot if they'll age down some of the male characters at some point to make them more...appealing? idk.

Does anyone think that DOA is woke/progressive just because the men aren't given a lot of agency (except for Zack, ofc) and thus viewed as expendable in the eyes of the Japanese public?

Cuz I think that's why DOAN has a hard time with Tekken, where you could write Bamco off as being chauvinistic for making the men shirtless or giving women side-roles, whereas DOA does the opposite.
