Just a thought.
Meh, I found it more of people venting out their feelings on the matter in general. Some people just like debating with others as well. No harm done. It's been 14 pages. To the few of you in here with a brain: how likely does it seem at this point that you'll be convincing the rest to see reason?

Except despite your stance, Objectification isn't an end all, be all type of phrase you say every day. There is no merit in saying it has overall objectification any more than ANY OTHER FIGHTING GAME, that's the point I'm making.Okay, and just because it's gotten worse or not in other games, again, doesn't negate the overall objectification.
Wow, way to miss the fact that the first game with boob motions was apparently Fatal Fury and KoF by association. And secondly, we actually have gotten past that for the LONGEST now considering the state of Soul Calibur, King of Fighters, Guilty Gear, Blazblue and Tekken and lately Street Fighter. Hell, it's obvious most people use it as a crutch for their main reason of just sucking at the game. Only a few actually even bother using that and actually mean it.The reason why DOA is the most attacked for this kind of thing is because it's been ALL of the female characters in the game since the beginning, not just a couple, and the fact that Boob physics is a thing. Not just any thing either, an important part of their game that they actually spend a lot of resources on just to get the most realistic boob engine. DOA has always been the one taking objectification in fighting games to the limit, the only other game I would put near this level is Mortal Kombat, but people don't notice it there as much because all people can see is gore and blood 90% of the time.
Actually it does matter. If I bring up that BMX XXX had far more raunchier crap than DOA gets, yet DOA still has a fanbase, that means not every sees it as fetishistic garbage. The ONLY issue I see people even getting mad at here is the DLC costumes...that you don't even need to buy...that speaks ALOT more than games that usually has fetishistic costumes on as a C1 from the start or damn near see-through outfits.Bringing up other games doing it means nothing, this is about DOA, not them. They're just as guilty for it, people just don't notice it as much because of what I said above.
BRUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, that was a joke. I made the joke because you started veering into sarcasm and hyperbole.
And maybe you should calm down a tad. I just pulled up a list of stuff through Google and and pulled one off the list. At the time, I was doing three different things at once and didn't have time to go back and find all of the ones that I've read during school. If the one I chose at random talked about 1977, that's indeed my fault. I could actually take hours out of my day to go find them, but it wouldn't matter anyway so I won't. I definitely won't now because I'm on my work break. But, anyway, I never tried to paint DOA as anything but a small piece of a greater whole.
If you are unable to discern the difference, that's on you.
Very well. If you're going to unironically start talking about SJWs coming to get us, then I'm kind of done talking with you. This topic wasn't quite about that in the first place. I deliberately chose not to smack DOA with the label of sexist going in, though people are free to think that it is and argue the point, I suppose. Though people just trot out the same repeated ad nauseum arguments and each side will just like each other's posts, the conversation won't evolve, and no one will change their mind anyway. So, screw it.
TN can do what it wants if they find it profitable. But, I made this topic because people were angry and some even talking about leaving the franchise. And then there always have been people being kept away from the franchise. You don't think businesses have to be concerned with that? Whatever. Don't answer. You have nothing more to say, right? We're done. Buh-bye. I'mma go back to sowing tears, now.
I dunno. Did it? I don't have the PC version. Was it officially released by Capcom? Because that is a distinction.
Perhaps they don't get enough credit for it. But, it still must be said that it only happened because people bothered to speak up. It's not like nobody bought them. And at the rate that they crank out other copypasta stuff at exorbitant prices that still manage to sell like hotcakes (for some reason), they can likely afford to throw the minority a bone every once in a while. Those people are still fans, after all. If TN doesn't care, hell, we can probably just expect all the guys minus Ryu and Hayate to just be removed in the next game. And also Lisa, Christie, and Rachel. I'm sure the fans wouldn't mind that, right? They don't care about those characters apparently...
Nope and I don't see change anytime soon, but it's still better than nothing...It's been 14 pages. To the few of you in here with a brain: how likely does it seem at this point that you'll be convincing the rest to see reason?

I don't think anyone is that spiteful, this is a thread about sexualization on a fighting game forum for goodness sake. You have a better chance of DSP randomly coming in here to bitch about us laughing at his terrible exploits at DOA5's story mode than any of that. The main reason I've left it open is because I want to isolate this debate into one area. If I locked it right before some angry user was about to post his novella response, he'd find some way to derail another thread to try and get the last word in.
I dunno, I thought some of the responses were interesting. And not to mention, it shows just how much people care about DOA's image as a fighter. Yes, it's getting strong showings at various local tournaments, but people in the community dream of DOA one day being part of the EVO line up. The passion in this thread should make your heart warm and fuzzy. It's been 14 pages. Your optimism is endearing, but misplaced.I don't think anyone is that spiteful,
I am cold and dead inside, human. The passion in this thread should make your heart warm and fuzzy.
I am cold and dead inside, human.
OMG you're a demon, my fantasy EXISTS!I am cold and dead inside, human.
You're not persuading any onlookers.@Brute the purpose of a debate is never to change the minds of the people one is debating. The purpose is to persuade onlookers.
You're not persuading any onlookers.
Because I have more likes than you.I seem to garner a good number of likes. I am assuming some folk agree with me. I am not entirely sure how you came up with your assertion.
Because I have more likes than you.
Are you suggesting that I may as well just not post? Why even allow this thread to go on, so that people who agree with me do not derail other threads?
So that people who agree or disagree don't derail other threads.
Accumulating an asston of likes, obviously.Well then, considering your initial post, do you wish for the debate to end? If no none in your eyes can be persuaded and onlookers apparently aren't effected, what is even the point?
